Artemis' POV
The warmth of the Creek estate felt different these days.
Peace had finally settled over Aiden's world, and for the first time in a long time, I could see him genuinely happy. The man who once lived for war, blood, and revenge was now a loving father and husband who found joy in the simplest things, like spending time with his family.
I sat cross-legged on the soft carpet of the massive living room, watching Elara attempt to stack colorful building blocks. Her tiny hands worked with focus as she carefully placed each block on top of the other, her little brows furrowing in concentration.
"Higher, baby," Aiden encouraged from the couch, leaning forward with a smirk.
Elara giggled as she placed another block. "Dada, look!"
Aiden's eyes softened as he watched her. "That's my girl."
I smiled, running my fingers through Elara's soft curls. "At this rate, she's going to build her own empire before you do, Aiden."
