A terrifying movement went off in Hajun's mind, in front of him stoo a girl with blue hair ang green eyes, she was the same height as him but she had no development in the
middle of her chest, her face pale with a slightly melancholic expression. She looked almost translucent, as though she wasn't entirely part of this world. The room seemed to fade around her, leaving only the two of them standing in a strange, void-like space.
Hajun froze, his mind racing. Who… is this?
The girl didn't say anything at first. Instead, she gazed at him with an odd mix of curiosity and sadness, as though she were waiting for him to recognize her. Her hair, a deep, rich blue, cascaded around her face, and her green eyes flickered as if reflecting something distant. Her clothes were plain—a loose, flowing dress that hung awkwardly on her slender frame.
Is she real? Hajun thought, trying to make sense of the situation. His senses told him she wasn't a normal person, but the strange feeling in his chest kept gnawing at him, like he was supposed to know her from somewhere.
Finally, the girl spoke. Her voice was soft but clear, almost echoing as if it came from another place entirely. "Did you forget about me Hajun"
"ahahah, ofcourse you would, my current appearance isn't exactly normal enough for you to recognize me, even i don't know what happened to me at that time…." She silently spoke to herself as she muttered the last parts under her breath.
Kim Hajun flinched. "I-i don't exactly know who you are"
"Ofcourse, well i saw you fight earlier, i didn't know the cowardly Hajun actually had that fight in him" The girl walked closer, the two were now facing one another.
The girl smile, the teeth underneath that smile looked to be sharp, but Hajun felt a sense of familiarity…he suddenly held his head as an unpleasant memory came to his mind.
It happened around Seven years ago.
"Hajun come on, i said i'll hold your hand while i take your back home" It was a girl with brown hair and green eyes, she had a smile in her face as the two of them walked.
"Yeah just better hope you're mom isn't in a bad mood" The red eyed boy said, Hajun was a young child at this age….
"Shouldn't i be asking you that?" The girl seriously thought wanted to question what he was doing in the evening that it made even her to come out all this way to look for him.
Hajun was getting irritated and let her hand go. "She wouldn't care"
Hajun walked passed her, she looked at him and then hesitated, but then with a determined expression, she held his hand and pulled him back towards her.
Hajun turned around to face her. "Eunmi, what are you doing?"
Eunmi's face was determined, her green eyes bright with a mix of concern and resolve. "I'm not going to let you walk home alone, Hajun," she said firmly. "Even if your mom doesn't care, I do. You're not alone, okay?"
Hajun blinked in surprise. He hadn't expected this kind of reaction from her. They had grown up together, but Hajun always kept to himself, pushing people away to avoid getting too close. He had learned early on that the less people knew about him, the better.
"You don't have to worry about me," he muttered, pulling his hand free from hers. "I'll be fine."
But Eunmi didn't let go. Instead, she tightened her grip and took a step closer, her voice soft but unwavering. "I know something's bothering you, Hajun. You've been acting different lately. I'm here for you, whether you like it or not."
But then It happened, a speeding vehicle was approaching behind Hajun, Eunmi's eyes widened and she did the only thing she could think of.
She pushed Hajun away from the vehicle.
The world seemed to slow down as Eunmi's push sent Hajun stumbling forward. He barely had time to react before the screeching sound of tires filled the air. His heart skipped a beat as he turned just in time to see the headlights blinding him, the car coming too fast.
"Eunmi!" he screamed, the words barely leaving his mouth as the vehicle struck her.
The impact was deafening, followed by a sickening thud as her body collided with the car. The world around Hajun blurred in a mixture of panic and disbelief. Everything felt surreal, as if his mind had shut down to process the horror that had just unfolded in front of him.
No, this can't be happening, Hajun thought frantically. This isn't real.
But when he turned back, Eunmi was lying motionless on the pavement, her brown hair spread around her like a halo, her green eyes staring vacantly at the night sky. Hajun's legs buckled beneath him, and he fell to his knees, hands trembling as he reached for her.
"Eunmi!" he shouted, shaking her gently, his voice hoarse with desperation. "Eunmi, wake up! Please!"
But there was no response. No breath, no pulse. Nothing.
The world seemed to tilt as a crushing weight settled on his chest. He couldn't breathe, couldn't think. His mind was racing, but all he could hear was the ringing in his ears and the sharp thump of his heart. The girl who had always been there for him, who had cared about him even when he didn't deserve it, was gone.
A bitter taste filled his mouth as his vision blurred with unshed tears, but even those were swallowed by a sudden, searing heat. Anger. It boiled up from deep inside him, rising faster than he could control. Why? Why her.
"Why?" Hajun whispered, the word barely audible, but the rawness in his voice filled the empty space around him.
[Your Rage is Increasing]
The darkness around Hajun seemed to pulsate with his growing fury, the weight of the pain and guilt crushing him further. The world, the memory, everything felt distant and foreign. His body trembled, not from fear but from the intense, violent emotions surging through him.
This is your fault.
The voice echoed in his mind, harsh and accusing, and he clenched his fists until his nails dug into his palms. The memory of Eunmi, her face twisted in pain, the final moments of her life flashing in his mind, tormented him.
Why didn't I stop it? Hajun thought desperately. Why didn't I push her away from the car? Why did I let her save me?
His mind reeled. His chest tightened. He felt like he was suffocating under the weight of his own regrets. Everything inside him screamed to lash out, to destroy something—anything—to rid himself of the unbearable guilt.
The air around him felt charged, thick with energy, as if the very space was reacting to his inner turmoil. His body burned with an unfamiliar sensation, like something powerful was awakening inside him. The invisible chains that had bound him, the fear and the doubt, started to fracture.
"I should have been the one," he hissed through gritted teeth, his voice raw. "I should have been the one to protect her."
But then the voice of the girl with blue hair cut through the haze of his fury, soft and piercing in its eerie calm. "Sheesh, Calm down, Did you really miss me that much, Hajun?" she whispered, her voice sending a shiver down his spine. It was a strange mixture of comfort and discomfort, like a familiar memory he couldn't quite place, yet he felt suffocated by it. Her hands, almost weightless, felt both distant and grounding at the same time.
Hajun's heart raced as he tried to pull away, the intense feelings inside him crashing over him like waves. The air around him crackled with an unnerving tension, and his vision blurred with the overwhelming pain. "Who… who are you?" he croaked, struggling to find the strength to stand against the weight of his emotions.
"It's me, Eunmi, i finally got discharged from homeschool after a two year long Coma in the hospital, ofcourse homeschool happened after those two years, anyways how have you been also i am very angry you didn't come visit me all these years" She turn around and pouted.
"huh?" Hajun was momentarily stunned, wasn't he going through an emotional roller coaster?.
Wait that isn't important?!. "Eunmi, wait?! you're alive?!" Hajun asked a question that made Eunmi squint her eyes dangerously.
"No i am clearly a ghost, ofcourse i am alive dummy?!, i had surgery after the accident and after going in a coma, My personality changed due ti some Psychological conditions and this whole blue hair get ups is…unprecedented" She said and then went i. for another hug.
Hajun felt as she wrapped around his body and squeezed h to the point it felt like he would pop from the pressure, How was she this strong.
Hajun gasped for air as Eunmi squeezed him tighter, her embrace surprisingly powerful despite her slender frame. The pressure around his ribs felt unbearable, and he instinctively struggled to break free. "Eunmi, you're… you're crushing me!" he managed to say, wincing.
Eunmi didn't loosen her grip. Instead, she let out a soft laugh, the kind that carried a strange sense of warmth mixed with something unsettling. "Sorry, I'm just glad to see you again," she said, her voice muffled by the proximity. "You have no idea how much I've missed you.
"Yeah…something is definitely wrong with you" Hajun said with exasperation.
Eunmi chuckled. "Well the i did tell the doctors I was insane, but they said an insane person wouldn't admit being insane"
"Yeah but an insane person who knows He/she is insane and gladly admits is more dangerous though" The surroundings returned back to normal from Hajuns mind, he was hallucinating, maybe it's because he hasn't learned how to properly use the Iron-Fang-Style..
Eunmi pondered. "…Wise words for the likes of you, anyways are your parents at home, if not can i come over?"
"…My parents died a year after i thought you died" Eunmi froze. The playful expression on her face vanished instantly, replaced by a stunned silence. Her green eyes widened slightly, the sharp glimmer in them softening as if a glass barrier had cracked.
"Oh…" she whispered, her voice barely audible. "I… I didn't know."
"Don't worry, it was a sickness and now me and Hana are the only two left in the family"
Eunmi stood still, her arms dropping to her sides as she processed Hajun's words. The lighthearted energy she had moments ago seemed to drain away, leaving her looking fragile despite her earlier strength. Her green eyes shimmered with an emotion Hajun couldn't quite place—guilt, regret, or perhaps grief.
"Hana… your little sister, right?" Eunmi's voice was soft, careful, as if she was afraid any louder words might shatter the moment.
Hajun nodded, his red eyes glancing downward. "Yeah. It's just the two of us now. I've been doing my best to take care of her, but… it's been hard."
The silence stretched between them, heavy and suffocating. For a moment, the only sound was the faint hum of the world around them, like white noise filling the empty void of their conversation.
"Anyways, you said you wanted to follow me home today" Hajun didn't stay silent for long, the two were still in the proximity of one another.
"Noo, i said can i come to your house" Hajun sighed, rubbing his temples as if trying to process the whirlwind of emotions and bizarre events he'd just been through. "Fine, fine. You can come over," he said reluctantly, glancing at Eunmi, who was already beaming with a childlike excitement.
"Yay!" she exclaimed, her pale face lighting up in contrast to her melancholic aura. "Don't worry, Hajun, I'll be the best guest ever!"
Hajun shot her a skeptical look. "You just squeezed me like a hydraulic press and nearly popped my ribs. Forgive me if I'm not entirely convinced."
Eunmi giggled, twirling a lock of her strange blue hair around her finger. "Oh, don't be so dramatic. You survived, didn't you?"
"Hey what are you two doing in the hallways, go back to class?!" A teacher asked and the two immediately started running away.
