Elder Lu was sleeping again.
After considering the environmental impact of a sleeping library pavilion elder, Yin Kai decided to let him sleep.
Grabbing a piece of paper and a stick of charcoal, he wrote in a very feminine hand, "I saw you sleeping, so I decided to sleep with someone else instead. Sincerely, Second Elder Su Yan."
He folded it before placing it on the table. Shortly after, he walked around the library towards the reference works section. He pulled out one of the heavier manuals, labelled "A Simple Guide to Chicken Species, Variants, and Blood-Relations."
He began to search through it. One of his new hens struck him as unordinary. It was smaller than it should be, and the eyes were purple with golden irises. Luckily, the store associate had written it off. After all, it otherwise looked like a normal Spirit Hen.
As he looked through the book, he saw several variants. Besides the ones he had, there was the fire-toe, the incendiary, the icefall, the chaos, the wavecrest, the spikeback, the hex, the leucistic, the long-fanged… So many chicken variants.
Still not seeing the purple eyes, he started to sift through the high-level bloodlines section. Pheonix, Glacial Luan, Roc, Dark Bird of Terror, Vermillion… 'Wait… What the hell?!'
He looked at the pictures and took out the chick for reference. "Well, I'll be…"
He started to put the chick back when he heard Elder Lu's voice come from behind.
"So, brat, is that what I think it is?"
"If you help me bind it I'll tell the second elder how big your curve is."
*Cough, Sputter*
The magnanimous Elder Lu turned serious. "Well, that seems like a fair trade. After all, opportunities come to the young."
The stolid elder took the chick's soul brand and placed it on Yin Kai.
Yin Kai instantly felt the chick's well being. With a mere thought, he could now send it to its doom.
With a single statement, Elder Lu disappeared into the ether. "Be sure to tell the second elder everything."
"You got it, old man!"
He put the Vermilion Chick into his life ring, walked out of the library, and proceeded towards the second elder's abode. The second elder was notorious both for being stuck up and for being lascivious.
Yin Kai felt sorry for Elder Lu. Chasing such a woman was always a burden to the men that pursued.
Yin Kai knocked on her door. The maid answered. After telling her that he was here on business from a fellow sect elder, the maid disappeared.
A moment later, the maid came back and invited him in. Second Elder Su was a strong name within the sect. The sect master was said to be close to the peak of the True Immortal stage, but nobody had seen him for years.
The great elder, Ke Tian, was fighting for control against the coalition of elders led by Head Treasury Elder Ji Ye.
Both of them were at the 9th stage Immortal Ascension realm, and they were both chasing after Elder Su.
Elder Lu, though also a suitor, was nowhere near her final line. In truth, Yin Kai knew one of her secrets. Because of this, he knew her true temperament- and just how to push the right buttons to make her cave.
Yin Kai lifted his gaze. The woman was lying on her bed, twisting a ringed flying knife on her forefinger.
Her black hair curled in rings against the purple sheets, framing her green eyes perfectly.
A mark of beauty touched the corner of her eye, proving her nature to the world.
Her clothes didn't leave much to the imagination. The only thing she wore was a piece of black cloth that fell down her midriff and covered all the important bits.
The size of her chest, however, was clearly shown. Even with her clutching the cloth in place, it barely held.
"So. What's the message?"
Yin Kai cupped his hands. "Replying to second elder Su Yan, elder Lu has a message: 'I may have fallen for you, but I want you to be happy; as such, I have sent you this disciple as a gift.' "
The second elder cocked her head to the side. "Gift?"
"Yes!" Yin Kai shouted as he dropped his pants.
Stunned, the second elder didn't blink. Then, slowly, she reached for the pole that was bigger than her face. Comparing it to her mountains, she smiled as it began to drive through her valley…
A few magical hours later, a final push and throb relaxed the two. Yin Kai whispered in her ear. "Elder Lu is bigger, and he has a curve."
The woman shuddered.
After agreeing to "not tell anyone" and to "just forget about it," Yin Kai went home.
When he arrived, he brought his new hens to the first cage and released Bae Re. After a few moments, they were finally part of the chicken family.
