Chapter 404: Harassing Phone Calls

Oliver Knox finished his phone call, went downstairs to handle the discharge procedure, and returned to the hospital room. Clara Knox had already changed into her own clothes and was dressed neatly.

She had been eagerly waiting to be discharged well before now.

During the day, she had promised Lucas to go back in the evening to tell him a story. If the traffic wasn't bad, she'd still make it on time.

On the floor, some boxes and packages were neatly arranged—gifts from the company employees who visited her on their own accord.

Oliver picked up two boxes with one hand, leaving behind two fruit baskets and the bouquet of flowers. Clara placed the bouquet into one of the fruit baskets and followed Oliver out of the room.

They walked out of the elevator and arrived at the first-floor lobby.
