MCSDB Chapter 88 Training Progress Part 2

The former would determine when he could achieve the Super Saiyan transformation, while the latter would set the ultimate limit of his strength.

"Enhancing base power… Aspara San, I fear we may not be able to assist much in that regard. Your Ki is far greater than ours. However, the Lookout has a place known as the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Inside, one day equals one year, and the gravity is ten times Earth's. Training there could be beneficial for you." Kami Piccolo contemplated before explaining.

"I see!" Jiang Chen mused, then asked, "Kami Sama, could you also provide guidance on martial arts training?"

The Hyperbolic Time Chamber was indeed useful, but he didn't need to enter it right away.

Before reaching Super Saiyan 3, he could only use the chamber for two days. If he exhausted that opportunity too soon, he'd have to wait until after reaching Super Saiyan 3 before he could enter again.

At his current stage, its benefits wouldn't be maximized.

"For martial arts, Popo San would be best suited to guide you."

"Additionally, the Lookout possesses a chamber that allows one's consciousness to experience the martial arts training of past Earth warriors. That might also prove useful to you."

Kami Piccolo was slightly surprised. He had assumed Jiang Chen would jump at the chance to enter the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, yet he deliberately bypassed it.

Despite his surprise, Kami Piccolo quickly answered.

"Then, may I trouble Popo San?" Jiang Chen turned to Popo San with a respectful nod.

If anyone on the Lookout remained an enigma, it was Popo San.

As Kami's attendant, his battle power had always been uncertain, though it was clear he was stronger than Kami himself.

More importantly, in the original history, both Sun Goku and Krillin had trained under Popo San rather than Kami.

"You are too polite." Popo San replied calmly.

"Thank you." Jiang Chen smiled and nodded.

Thus, Jiang Chen's training under Popo San officially began.

Having served under three generations of Kami and dedicated himself to training others, Popo San's martial arts proficiency was truly formidable— perhaps even surpassing Kame Sennin's.

Even at his current strength, Jiang Chen could feel his rapid improvement under Popo San's tutelage.

Especially in Ki control.

After years of training on Planet Yardrat, his Ki control was already near perfection— at least by his own estimation.

Both his mastery of the Giant Form and the Spirit Control Technique had reached advanced levels.

Yet, under Popo San's instruction, Jiang Chen's Ki control refined further, pushing both techniques beyond his previous limits.

The most notable improvement was in the Giant Form.

Previously, he could only expand his size to twice his normal height.

Any attempt beyond that resulted in a cumbersome, inefficient form.

However, through Popo San's training, as his martial arts foundation strengthened and his Ki control deepened, he gradually pushed his Giant Form to 2.5 times his original size.

More importantly, unlike before, his enlarged state remained stable and efficient in combat.

"Ki exists in every part of your body."

"Don't force it."

"Feel its presence."

"Yes, just like that."

Popo San's calm, steady voice echoed across the Lookout as their training continued.

Popo San's guidance was always precise and profound.

When it came to teaching, Popo San far surpassed the Yardratians and was even more insightful than Kame Sennin.

So, in just three months, Jiang Chen's training had advanced significantly.

"Aspara San, your training with me is complete! From this point forward, it's up to you. Martial arts are ultimately about self-mastery. No one else can walk the path for you." Popo San spoke in his usual calm tone.

"Thank you for your guidance, Popo San. I've troubled you for quite some time!" Jiang Chen bowed slightly in gratitude.

Though his improvements this time weren't as explosive as before, his foundation had undoubtedly deepened.

"You are too kind." Popo San shook his head gently.

"Aspara San, do you intend to enter the Chamber now, or would you prefer to rest first?" Kami Piccolo approached, his sharp gaze settling on Jiang Chen.

"I'll take a few days to recover." Jiang Chen thought for a moment and decided against entering the past immediately.

He had gained a wealth of insight in this period and needed time to internalize it.

"Very well. Whenever you're ready, just inform Popo San." Kami Piccolo nodded in understanding.

"Understood. Thank you, Kami Sama." Jiang Chen responded with a respectful smile and nod.

Over the next few days, he focused on resting and consolidating his gains.

Once he felt sufficiently prepared, he sought out Popo San again.

"Popo San, I'm ready." Jiang Chen declared.

"Then follow me."

Popo San nodded, leading Jiang Chen deeper into the Lookout.

This time, their journey took them much farther than before.

The surroundings grew dim, an eerie atmosphere settling around them.

Jiang Chen felt an unusual energy in the air, akin to the ancient mystic realms of Planet Yardrat.

"What is this place?" Jiang Chen raised an eyebrow, intrigued.

"We're almost there." Popo San responded in his usual composed tone.

"Alright." Jiang Chen nodded.

As they spoke, they finally reached the lowest level of the Lookout.

"Aspara San, this is the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, and over here is the Time Chamber."

"To complete your training, you must enter the Time Chamber. It will send your consciousness into the past, allowing you to experience historical battles and training. However, you must remember —do not unleash too much power, or you could disrupt the entire chamber."

Popo San's tone was calm, yet there was a hint of warning.

Jiang Chen nodded slightly, acknowledging the significance of the instruction.

His curiosity grew stronger.

Time travel— even within the vast Dragon Ball universe— was an exceedingly rare phenomenon.

Outside of the Supreme Kai's abilities, only Bulma had managed to create a device for it.

And yet, the Lookout possessed such an ability?

"Popo San, this chamber can really send me back in time?" Jiang Chen asked, eager to understand.

A mere planetary guardian didn't seem like someone who could wield such an ability.

"You misunderstand. This is not true time travel. Rather, your consciousness is projected into the past. Your power will not accompany you, which is why I cautioned you. Your spiritual energy is formidable— far beyond an ordinary mortal's. If you lose control, the chamber's stability could be compromised."

Popo San explained in his usual steady manner.

"I see." Jiang Chen nodded slightly. Though he still had lingering doubts, he set them aside for now.

At this moment, Popo San began the process.

"Aspara San, we are about to begin."

"Prepare yourself."

Popo San's voice carried a note of finality.

As Jiang Chen nodded, he suddenly felt his consciousness being pulled downward.

The world around him shifted in an instant.

The dark chamber disappeared, replaced by a vibrant forest filled with the chatter of birds and the scent of fresh flowers.
