Gallagar has always been a thief, a liar, and a man who takes what he wants—until the night he steals something that changes his destiny. In a botched heist gone deadly, Gallagar unwittingly kills a nobleman, only to discover the stolen jewel marks the bearer as the Electus: the Chosen One destined to save all the kingdoms in the realm. Seizing the opportunity for wealth and fame, Gallagar assumes the role of hero, fooling the king and even most of the Avangardians, the realm’s elite soldiers, into believing he is the saviour they’ve waited for.



But when dark forces rise from the hellscapes and a rift threatens to consume all life, Gallagar is sent on a perilous journey to seal the rift—a task only the true Electus could accomplish. As abominations close in and his companions place their faith in him, Gallagar must rely on his cunning as a thief and his skills as a mercenary to conceal his secret.
