Adventurer trial.

After walking for a while, Kenji took a carriage to the next town, and hoped to arrive there by morning.

" Master Kenji, may I ask the reason why you are leaving to Rendel town?" The carriage driver said.

He was a member of the town where Kneji had just left, and of course knew who he was, I mean who wouldn't?!

But now seeing Kenji leaving began to put question marks in his head. Normally, he wouldn't dare to ask, but he knew Kenji was an easy going person, and wouldn't want to punish him for asking about his private matters.

" Oh! well, I think it was time I left to go and check out other towns. But not as a chef, but as an adventurer," Kenji responded plainly, holding not to the memory of being secretive.

" An adventurer?!" The carriage driver immediately stopped the carriage out of shock and impuslse, but then apologized and continued his journey.

" Master Kenji why would you want to become an adventurer?!" The carriage driver said, shock still clearly evident on his face.

" The reason was all due to the fact that I need to know more about this world, I need to see it all. This world is completely new to me, and I want to see and understand everything about it," Kenji said, not forgetting the real reason for his departure.

He was someone from another world, an alien. But just like actual aliens, Kenji wanted to understand more about this new world of magic and brimming life. He just couldn't pass on it.

He had lived quietly and suprisingly comfortable these past two years, but the thing was he didn't just want to cook, he wanted to see, to feel, to understand. He wanted to grow, and accept more knowledge, that's who he is.

The two kept on talking till it was midnight. There was a small inn not to far away. They were usually built around here so as passing travelers could stay the night once they had begun to feel tired.

" Earth Inn" Kenji said, a bit suprised by the name of the inn.

They then walked into the inn and booked sperate rooms. The receptionist was really nice as she gave them the room as fast as she could. She could see that Kenji was a big shot judging by his clothes.

But in reality, Kenji was definitely no big shot, at least not anymore.

The two spent the night there and by the time it was morning, they headed off and went back on their journey.

It didn't take too long before they had arrived in the other town since it wasn't too far away from the inn.

"Rendel town,"

The name of this little town was named above

" Rendel,"

Entering into Rendel, the carriage driver immediately took Kenji to one of the adventurer guilds.

" Goodbye master Kenji, I hope you find the satisfaction of being an adventurer," said the carriage driver with a genuine smile on his face.

" Goodbye and thank you for everything!" Kenji said as he walked Into the guild.

Kenji was suprised at what he found inside of the guild. There were half beast half humans. Beast kins, fairies, all kind of strange creature filled this place. But the majority were still of humans, and each and everyone of them seemed really strong and menancing.

The aura everyone of them exuded was both breathtaking and scary. It was like walking in a sea of sharks.

Eventually, Kenji found himself at the receptionist point.

" Hello, how may I help you today?" The receptionist said with a smile. She was a bit beautiful, though not as beautiful as Miyuki, but her beauty was still there.

The most stunning thing about this receptionist lady was her yellowish red hair and fiery red eyes.

Those eyes seemed to be able to seep into the heart of those that look into them, but it wasn't in a bad way. It was more like the welcoming feel of fire in a cold place. Something everyone wants to get close to when they feel cold.

" Sir?" The voice of the receptionist suddenly brought Kenji back out of his daze, making him realize that he had been staring too long.

" Ah! I'm so sorry, please don't be angered!" Kenji said frantically, as his face began to reveal a red hue by the side of his cheeks.

" It's no problem sir. Honestly, I've gotten used to it, so don't worry. But my question still remains though," she said, waving her hands as if pushing away Kenji's apology.

Kenji stared at her curiously," what question?" He said, looking very curious.

" Well, how may I help you today," she said, her smile brimming.

" Oh, well...the thing is, I want to become an adventurer," Kenji said, determination beginning to fill his eyes.

The lady looked at him with a questioning gaze as she heard his words. Then stared at him from top to bottom," well sir, I would love to give you the adventurer badge and have you sign a few paperworks, but the thing is, you don't look nor have the aura of someone who wants to become an adventurer," she said, with a sincere look.

" What do you mean by that?" Kenji said, beginning to get angry by her words. How is she supposed to know if he can be an adventurer or not? It's not like she's a psychic.

" Sir please don't take it the wrong way, I was just trying to say that if you want to become an adventurer you would need to pass the trial," she said, trying to ease up Kenji's angry face.

" Adventurer trial? What's that, some kind of test?" Kenji asked curiously.

The lady nodded slightly," not everyone can become an adventurer just because they want to since some get killed or injured one way or the other and it would usually affect that guild. So as to avoid any form of casualties, we created the adventurer trial to make anyone who doesn't seem to have the strength to take on a troll, pass through before becoming an adventurer," she said, explaining into every detail possible.

" Well, alright, when can I start?" Kenji asked and the lady Immediately brought out a few paperworks which needed to be signed by both her and Kenji, and after the signing, Kenji was given a quest mission.

" Sir, you will have to pick up fifty Earth dandelions and bring it back to us. There are a few wild creatures nearby, so you would need to be careful. I suggest you form a team and complete the mission," the lady said, but Kenji shook his head.

There was no way he was going to join a team after what Yuji and the rest had done to him. He just didn't want to experience that anymore, so he was good with sticking alone.

" Alright then sir, I'll be awaiting you right here. Oh! And by the way, my name is Glinda," she said, remembering to introduce herself.

" Kenji," he said in response. As he turned around and left.

As he left, there was only one thing in Glinda's mind.

* This guy is definitely going to die!*
