IAN'S POV
"I know what you mean," I said.
Just then, I heard a knock on my door and my PA came in to inform me of something urgent.
"I'm sorry to interrupt," my PA said, "but there's something you need to know. One of our clients has just called and they're threatening to pull their account if we don't meet their demands.
I know you've been working really hard on this account, and I don't want to see all your hard work go to waste.
I know you're busy, but is there any way you could take a few minutes to talk to them?"
I took a deep breath and thought about my options. On the one hand, I had a lot of work to do and I didn't want to get behind.
On the other hand, this client was really important to the company and I didn't want to risk losing their business. In the end, I decided that it was worth taking a few minutes to talk to them and try to resolve the issue.
"I'll take the call," I said to my PA. "Can you put them through to my office?"
