Ryan's POV
The whole situation seemed so absurd. From Hannah's sobbing, rant of word impossible to understand and crying, I was sure there was something really serious going on.
So when it all came down to a color. I mean, we were talking about paint here. I laughed. I realized quickly it was a bad choice, but it all bottled up. like a bad comedy and it seemed like the only reasonable thing to do right then and there.
Then she snapped, first I thought she had fought Hannah and were still angry. But then she started ranting, the hurt and panic reeked of her. Vibrating through the bond. Her reaction was so explosive I just gaped at first. I didn't get it, didn't really manage to wrap my head around what was happening. She even hit me.
I didn't know what to do, just stared at her she spiraled down her own black hole. My chest ached as it seemed like the hunter's mark opened all channels for this. Peppering me with everything that had bottled up inside of her.
