Opening it, he revealed a delicate gold necklace. My eyes widened in surprise as he guided me towards a mirror and carefully fastened it around my neck.
"Why?" I breathed, my voice barely audible as I stared at my reflection, stunned by the gesture. "I don't know if I can accept this, Cedric. It's... it's expensive..."
