CHAPTER 12: A painful discovery

　　In the secret library, they pored over old books and records. Ella's mind was filled with thoughts about the consequences of her actions, but Isabelle was too engrossed in her own world to realize. As Isabelle continued her exploration of the family's past, she came across a vintage photograph of the Thomas family. Her eyes scanned the familiar faces of John, Rebecca, Rachel, and their parents.

　　But one face made her heart skip a beat, John's father the man behind her mysteries.

　　Isabelle was quite confused, and she could hardly believe it. She called Ella, who was looking worried to clear her curiosity.

　　"Who's the man over there?" Isabelle asked, pointing to John's father.

　　Hmm, Ella took a deep breath with worriedness, taking over her face over their long stay in the library.

　　"That's Thomas, John's father, unfounded years ago. Do you know her?" Ella questioned.
