Hannah's POV
The day of the trial arrived quicker than I had anticipated. I was not involved in Lyla and Christian case. But I had to go to see it, and I got the chance when my boss asked me to give company to Christian as a senior attorney of the firm. I stood in front of the mirror, smoothing out the creases of my blazer, and taking deep breaths to steady my nerves. I am excited.
When I heard a knock at the door, I knew it was Christian. True to his word, he had insisted on picking me up and going to the courtroom together. I opened the door to find him standing there in his suit, looking as professional and confident as always.
"Ready?" he asked, his voice calm and reassuring.
