CHAPTER 57: A Friend in Need

  Christian's POV

As I entered my office, my good friend Joseph spotted me and made his way over. His sharp eyes immediately picked up on the change in my demeanor.

"Well, well, well," Joseph said with a grin. "What's got you in such a good mood this morning, Christian?"

I couldn't hold back the smile that spread across my face. "Hannah finally agreed to be with me," I said, the words tumbling out in a rush of happiness.

Joseph's eyes widened in surprise before a broad smile broke across his face. "Finally!" he exclaimed, clapping me on the back. "I knew it was only a matter of time. Congratulations, man. You deserve this."

"Thanks, Joseph," I replied, my heart still light with the joy of the morning. "It feels like a dream, honestly."

Joseph chuckled. "Well, you've earned it. Now, don't screw it up, okay?"

I laughed, shaking my head. "I don't plan on it," I said, my gaze drifting back to where Hannah was busy at her office.

"Not for anything in the world."
