CHAPTER 73 Cracks In The Foundation

  Luca's POV

"Are we anywhere close, Stefano?" I snarled, hands clasping at the wheel in a white-knuckle grip as city lights fell far behind and all that was left was the darkness of night and the twisted roads deeper into the outskirts.

Stefano rode shotgun, peering into his phone's map. "Close but not close enough," he grumbled- the frustration dripping from every word.

My fist suddenly came down hard onto the steering wheel as a burst of anger finally burst free from me. "Not close enough isn't good enough, Stefano she's out there and I'm done waiting. We should've reached school by now."

Stefano played with his phone. "Luca, we cannot just drive up and expect to waltz in. Dominic's men are stationed everywhere, and the school's perimeter is more fortified than we thought. We need a better plan."

I glared at him. "A better plan? We went over it a hundred times; something always gets in the way, and I'm just tired of it."
