CHAPTER 96 Deadline Pressure

  Dominic's POV

  It wasn't that my patience was running thinner than it ever had. I surged up from my seat in frustration and pounded my fist onto the table.

  "Where is that son of a bitch hiding?" I shouted out loud, the reverberation of my voice off the walls, as I prowled the room like an imprisoned animal. That was the feeling of the walls closing in on me, squeezing out every last ounce of control that I had.

  Whereas now, Luca and Leila's lives were hanging by a thread, and with each second ticking by, hope was getting torn from me to find them alive.

  "We're on it," Stefano returned coolly, but something in his tone gave me an edge, and that didn't sit well with me in the least.

  I whirled at him, flashing. "Working on it? You have been 'working on it' for hours, Stefano! And what do we have? Nothing!" The word was like poison as it fell from my lips.
