CHAPTER 98 A Ray of Hope

  Dominic's POV

Alessandro stabbed a finger at the list of addresses they'd crossed out. "How about these? They're too public, but Robert knows you won't even think about it, and he is playing a game."

"Alright," I said. "But we can't afford to get bogged down with maybes."

Stefano interrupted, his eyes cold and hard. "We cannot give up. We must bring them home."

And in that silence, the weight of the air was an anchor. I knew very well what Robert was capable of, and what would happen to them if we failed. "He's going to kill them if we don't move fast," I whispered.

Stefano's eyes turned to stone. "Then we don't give him the opportunity."

"Concentrate, Dominic," Alessandro pressed. "You've brought us this far. We have faith in you."

Faith was such a vulnerable myth after all those disappointments. "Let's go," I said, my chest constricting with determination.

Stefano laid his hand on my shoulder. "We're in it together."
