Cavin's Pov
The first slivers of morning light slipped through the curtains as I blinked awake, realizing where I was, Eliza's room. She lay peacefully beside me, her face softened in sleep, her hair spilling across the pillow. For a moment, I stayed there, listening to the steady rhythm of her breathing, feeling an unfamiliar sense of peace that I didn't want to lose.
But reality snapped me back. If anyone found me here, there would be no end to the questions or misunderstandings. Silently, I moved, lifting the duvet higher over her, making sure she'd stay warm. With one last look, I slipped out of her room and made my way back to my own.
