Chapter 79: “Kaiju Chaos Part 3: Rise of the Featherlords!”

The battle between MegaChick and the kaiju army raged on across Brioche Island, with explosions of yolk, feathers flying like confetti, and the smell of burnt toast wafting through the air. The villagers, now thoroughly traumatized, were either hiding in their bread ovens or setting up makeshift popcorn stands to watch the madness unfold.

Kazuya stood atop a crumbling bakery, sword in hand, yelling commands like a discount action hero.

"MegaChick, activate Peck Mode!"

MegaChick's beak began to glow with a blinding light before delivering a devastating peck attack that sent Eggzilla tumbling backward into the sea.

"Holy cluck!" Fergus cheered. "It worked!"

"What do you mean 'it worked'? You didn't know it would?!" Kazuya shouted.

Fergus shrugged. "I just kinda winged it."

Sylvara facepalmed. "You two are worse than the kaiju."

 Gooseatron Strikes Back

Just as the crew began to celebrate their temporary victory, Gooseatron—the robotic goose kaiju—unleashed a devastating honk that shattered windows and sent the villagers scrambling.

"That honk…" Kazuya gasped. "It's like nails on a chalkboard!"

Gooseatron's red eyes glowed ominously as it stomped through the town, pecking at buildings and shooting laser eggs from its metal wings.

"Okay, we need a plan!" Kazuya yelled.

Fergus grinned. "I have a plan. It's incredibly stupid, but it might work."

"Perfect. We're all about stupid plans here."

: The Plan – Operation Breadstick

Fergus explained his brilliant (read: insane) idea.

"We distract Gooseatron with the biggest breadstick we can find. Geese love bread, right?"

Sylvara groaned. "That's ducks, not geese."

"Close enough!" Fergus waved her off. "We lure it out of the village, then MegaChick delivers the final blow."

The group quickly fashioned a giant breadstick out of leftover dough and tied it to the back of a wagon.

"This feels ridiculous, even by our standards," Sylvara muttered as they took off, dragging the breadstick through town.

"Hey, we've done dumber things," Kazuya replied.

 Gooseatron Takes the Bait

As the wagon rumbled through the streets, Gooseatron's red eyes locked onto the breadstick.

"HONK!"

"It's working!" Fergus cheered.

Gooseatron charged after the breadstick, knocking over buildings and flattening entire bakeries in its path.

The crew led the rampaging kaiju out of the village and toward a cliff overlooking the ocean.

"Almost there… just a little farther…" Kazuya whispered.

But just as they reached the edge, Gooseatron stopped in its tracks.

"What's it doing?" Sylvara asked.

Gooseatron tilted its head, then transformed into a giant goose-shaped jet.

"YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!" Kazuya screamed.

The Goose Jet took off, soaring into the sky before raining down explosive laser eggs.

 Enter Featherthulhu

As if things couldn't get worse, the sea began to bubble and churn before a massive tentacled kaiju rose from the depths.

"Is that…?" Sylvara's eyes widened.

"FEATHERTHULHU!" Fergus screamed. "The ancient bird god of chaos!"

Featherthulhu let out an unholy squawk, its tentacles flailing as it summoned a storm of feathers that blinded everyone in the area.

"We are so clucked," Kazuya muttered.

MegaChick, undeterred, charged at Featherthulhu, engaging in an epic battle of beak vs. tentacle.

The Power of Friendship (and Bread)

Just when it seemed like all hope was lost, Sylvara had an idea.

"The Bread Basket!"

"What about it?" Kazuya asked.

"It's the only thing that can stop Featherthulhu. We need to give it to MegaChick!"

Fergus quickly retrieved the magical bread-filled artifact and hurled it toward MegaChick. The giant chicken mech caught it in its beak and began to glow with golden light.

"What's happening?"

"MegaChick is evolving!" Fergus cheered.

With a burst of energy, MegaChick transformed into Ultra MegaChick, a majestic, golden, feathered kaiju with wings of light and a crown of breadsticks.

"Okay, that's actually kinda cool," Kazuya admitted.

Ultra MegaChick unleashed a blinding beam of bread magic that obliterated Featherthulhu and sent Gooseatron crashing into the sea.

The Aftermath

As the dust settled, the villagers slowly emerged from their hiding places.

"Is it over?" one of them asked.

"For now," Kazuya said, sheathing his sword.

Fergus grinned. "Told you chickens were the future."

Sylvara sighed. "I can't believe we just fought a kaiju army with bread."

"Welcome to our life," Kazuya replied.

The crew stood together, watching the sunset over the ocean.

"So, what's next?"

Fergus smirked. "I hear there's a giant toast monster on the next island."

"Of course there is."
