The shadowy being couldn't handle the full-powered strike, as a massive wave of power washed over both the being and the city, leveling it in a single swing.
Ayil let out a pleasurable exhale as the shadowy being disintegrated, together with the city.
She couldn't help but admire how cool she was when fighting.
'That was so fun!' She giggled as she flapped her wings, raising herself high into air.
She needed to meet with her siblings.
Just as she approached them and wanted to greet her dear sister and brother, a connection to Father echoed in her mind.
[To all Greater Angels, Demon Emperor has declared war on Valar, In 3 months, the army will be deployed. I want you and all other Angels to be ready for further instructions. For now continue with your mission as normal. The Main Angel army will be ordered to return to Vitpacar and prepare for defense.]
[Demons will learn that their empire is not as strong as they thought when facing God's Legions. More Angels will be summoned and sent to attack the Empire. Do not underestimate the Emperor's Army. You are not allowed to die.]
[Deus Vult!]
Information shocked them all, How dare demons declare war on the kingdom that Father had personally protected.
The moment Father had stepped foot into Valar the kingdom was considered holy land, it was to be protected by any means.
They would know punishment, they would know what hell truly was.
"They... dare," Ariel spoke in a cold tone, her fury palpable.
The demons dared resist the righteous punishment? They dared deny their rightful place in hell?
"We must continue destroying their nests!" Ariel spoke with venom in her voice.
Usiel crossed his arms and closed his eyes as he thought, 'No, Ariel. Father was clear. We are not advancing.'
"Ariel, you might be commander, but Father was clear: we must not advance. I will not tolerate you going against Father's orders this time, despite you being a dominion." He spoke coldly.
Ariel shook her head. "I do not plan to. Dad sounded angry, and I wouldn't wish to ever anger Dad more than he already is."
"But our mission is completed already... Shouldn't we go to Vitpacar with the Angel Army?" Ayil asked.
"We should notify Father that nests have been eradicated," Ariel said before taking a deep breath.
"I will notify him myself! As commander, praise for good job belongs to me!" She spoke excitedly.
Usiel sighed, "Sure go ahead, Commander."
Ayil looked at her with a sad expression... "Can you mention I did good too?"
Ariel grinned at Ayil, "Of course, my cute lil Ayil, I will tell Dad you did amazing!"
She turned her back towards them before establishing a connection to Father.
[Dad! We have finished our mission, what should we do? Also I say Me and Ayil did great! I think both of us deserve headpats! Especially me!] She spoke excitedly and yet she was met with silence.
Silence.
Finally, after what felt like an excruciatingly long time Father finally answered.
[Great job, you are truly worthy warriors of God. I will trust your judgment, scout the borders, and then return to Vitpacar. Sophia is allowed to remain at the border I want you to support her if she needs it.]
[About the reward you wished for, we will see once demon incursion is dealt with in 3 months.]
[Got it, dad! I love you!] She grinned as the connection cut.
She turned towards Ayil, "Ayil, my cutest sister, father said we might get rewards once we are done dealing with the demon attack in 3 months."
Ayil brightened up in a moment. "Really?!"
"Yeeep! So we better do good!"
Usiel could only sigh at this, he understood their need for Father's affection, but to so brazenly ask for reward was heretical.
'I guess it is fine.' He sighed; he couldn't blame them. After all, he too wished for Father's affection.
It did not matter what they wished; as long as Father's mission was completed, their joy would be overwhelming.
His gaze fell on his sisters hugging each other out of joy of promised reward.
'Where is Sophia when I need her...' He sighed; these two were too immature. He could only truly connect with Sis Sophia despite her soft heart.
Ariel turned her head toward Ayil with a grin. "Wanna go annoy Sophia a little?"
"Sure! I am missing her already." Ayil nodded.
'....' Usiel looked at the duo with a deadpan expression.
It was like Ariel read his mind.
"Isn't she with the girls you tricked, Ariel? This could ruin her own plans." Usiel stated.
"Ah, that, you need not worry! [Shapeshift], in next moment she grew in height to be about as tall as Ayil, her hair grew longer while gaining white eyes."
"I am same as Ayil now! They won't recognize me!" Ariel grinned, her shape could be changed at whim after all.
"Sis Ariel, could you not look exactly the same as me!" Ayil pouted.
Ariel girnned, her face same as Ayil's own.
"This just means I love you so much that I wanna look like you." She brought her face close to Ayil's.
"Just... don't... Please?" Ayil pleaded.
Ariel sighed with a soft giggle. "Sure, I won't." Her form shifted. instead of looking like Ayil she gained 3 pairs of white wings, her eyes gained a golden color, and her clothing turned into armor.
"This better?" She grinned.
"Yes..." Ayil smiled softly.
"Now we go visit Sophia, I want to see why she spared those Demons I tricked..." She placed her hands on her hips as she stared in the distance.
Ariel turned to her siblings, looking at her with a weird gaze.
"I won't kill them or torture them! I love sis Sophia too. I won't ruin her own plans! I promise." She defended herself.
Ariel knew that they didn't approve of her methods, but in the end, it did not matter. Demons were foul creatures.
Despite thinking that she did wish Sophia to be somewhat right, after all, anyone who embraced Father's Teachings wasn't a demon at all despite looking like one.
