Aftermath

The reason Lin Xuanyu fled immediately after he got the core was simple.

He could feel it—the gaze of everyone on him, sharp and probing.

His Spiritual Perception picked up every whisper.

He could tell they were all trying to figure out his identity.

But most noticeable was the man in the corner, muttering to himself in a quiet frenzy:

"How is this possible?! How is Lin Xuanyu still alive? He was confirmed dead by the Lin Clan, and yet... he's here, taking down a core-formation monster? did my transmigration cause that much of a change in the plot? No... this can't be right. How is he still alive? Could it be my transmigration messed up the plot? or is the author?"

Lin Xuanyu felt strange at first but he soon recognized who it was when he heard the term "Author".

This was the guy who had been tasked by the world will to save the world from some the so called guy who knows the future of this world and was being hunted by the Main God Dimension.

At the same time, Lin Xuanyu couldn't help but think, It looks like my death in this world was a pretty major event. Even the transmigrator guy knew about him.

But when he considered it further, it made sense. After all, he was the son of Major General Lin Xin. Of course his death would have significance, especially with the Lin Clan's reputation.

But Lin Xuanyu didn't approach him.

By the time Lin Xuanyu had left the room, Andrew and Rachael quickly rushed up to Alissa.

Concern etched on Rachael's face and she was the first to speak, her voice soft but urgent. "Are you alright? Did you get hurt?"

Alissa snapped out of her thoughts and gave a rare smile to Rachael, "I'm fine, Rachael. I wasn't hurt."

Then, Rachael's expression shifted to one of thoughtfulness. "Lin Xuanyu... he's really strong. He really hid himself well. he must've been using a special artifact to hide his true strength."

Andrew on the back still haven't came out from the shock, "How is that possible? He was only at the 4th Transition Stage! How did he kill a Core-Formation Seed Monster with an Origin Ability?"

Alissa hearing this quickly gestured for them to lower their voices. "Don't say his name out loud,"

She warned, casting a quick glance around. "Others might hear."

Andrew and Racheal exchanged a puzzled look at first, but soon the pieces began to fall into place. The realization dawned on them, and they both spoke at the same time, "Is-is he? Lin clan?!"

Alissa nodded quietly, confirming their suspicions.

Just then, Alex appeared, rushing toward them with a curious expression.

"Who was that? He was incredibly strong. Looks like you guys know him," he remarked, his voice full of intrigue.

Racheal quickly glanced at Alissa before replying, "He's someone we met at the gate. We don't know his name."

"I see. That's a bummer, I didn't get to thank him!" Alex said, his tone full of mild disappointment.

Meanwhile, in the corner of the room, a figure stood in silence, his gaze fixed on the unfolding events.

The man, who held the true fate of this world, watched with an air of unease.

He observed the characters he once knew only as fictional, interacting with each other as if nothing had changed. Yet, something was amiss.

"This was supposed to be the moment where Alissa and Alex meet for the first time," he thought to himself, his brow furrowing in confusion.

"This is where Alex saves her life when the monster sneak-attacks. But... the guy I thought was dead just came in and finished the monster in one move... What's happening here?"

A deep unease washed over him, he wanted to find Lin Xuanyu and find out the truth.

However, considering how he just took down the seed monster, he really wasn't confident in confronting him now.

He knew the glaring weakness of the seed monster as well.

In fact, it's actual strength was only a bit more powerful than a normal late-stage transition realm without the shields and it's flesh was really easy to cut through.

But he still didn't underestimate Lin Xuanyu, he still took down a monster like that in one move.

His abilities were definitely extraordinary.

What if he turn out to be someone who works for the author or the author himself? he can't take risks now.

At the same time, he felt the need to get stronger fast. He was still only at 9th level of transition realm, He needed to reach core-formation fast!

Since the battle was already over, everyone started going their way, the three cultivators that rescued Young Master Shen led him back to the gate entrance and Alissa and team decided to head back home along with alex, who quickly became friends with Racheal.

Without wasting any time, he made his way to a nearby store and bought something rather unexpected—a hat.

A simple, plain hat. He placed it on his head, pulling the front of the cap down just enough to mask his face, making it harder for anyone to recognize him.

As for how he paid the store owner, well, that was simple enough.

He casually handed over a monster core. The store owner raised an eyebrow at the payment, clearly confused by the unusual currency, but after a moment's hesitation, he accepted it.

The owner sliced off the value of the hat and returned the remainder of the monster core's worth in cash, with an unamused look on his face.

Lin Xuanyu simply nodded in acknowledgment and walked away, not bothering to explain further.

Afterward, he walked to a nearby café, where he found a quiet spot to sit and wait. He ordered a cup of orange juice and started scanning the gate he just came from there.

He was waiting for the guy—the one who knew the future of this world. The man the world will has placed high hopes on.

Because of that he hadn't even bothered selling the monster core.

That was secondary. If this dude comes out and gets out of this planet then he wouldn't be able to find him until he has dealt with Lin Yuan.

He patiently waited. Lin Xuanyu knew that it wouldn't take long for that person to show up. 

After all, he had to exit through the very gate he entered from.

Lin Xuanyu sat quietly in the café, his eyes scanning the entrance as he waited.

It didn't take long before he saw Alex, Alissa, and the rest of their team step out of the gate, followed by a few other cultivators.

They were all talking among themselves, but Lin Xuanyu's attention was fully on one figure who had yet to appear.

And then, just as he expected, the guy he was waiting for emerged.

He swiftly finished the orange juice that he paid for and started walking towards the guy.
