Gianna's POV
A long sigh escaped my lips as I set the second book I'd finished on the soft quilt. The day after Dennis' visitors arrived at the pack territory, I began to feel bored cooped up in my room.
Allen told me it was for my own safety, but I knew he was just trying to be nice. Alpha Dennis bought me, and I came to him for one purpose only.
Allen did his best to protect my privacy, but that didn't mean I was any different from a prisoner. I had no right to question everything that had been arranged for me.
However, the longer I stayed here, the easier it was for me to forget this. I longed to communicate with others rather than being confined to my own thoughts.
Of course, Jessica and Allen took turns checking on my condition, but I wanted more. Yes, I missed Dennis hopelessly, his intoxicating breath and the gentle caress of his hands.
