Chapter 33 The Hit

On my way to the restroom, I kept thinking about what Scarlett had said. I wished with all my heart that it wasn't true.

The thought of him marrying someone else shattered my heart. I had to admit that even though he wasn't my mate, he didn't need to choose me as his Luna.

All I wanted was to be by his side. Even if I was just a breeder, that would be enough.

I rushed into the restroom, pushed the door to the stall open, and clung to the toilet. I quickly threw up everything I had eaten for breakfast. It felt like I was going to puke out my entire insides.

In the end, only bile came up. There was nothing left to throw up. I leaned against the wall, slowly standing up, forcing myself to walk to the sink. I turned on the faucet and splashed some water on my face.

Cold sweat ran down the back of my neck, and anxiety settled heavily in my chest.
