The next morning, when I woke up, I realized Dennis hadn't come back to our room all night.


Of course, I understood. Dennis and Scarlett were going to get engaged. There was no point of being with me anymore. The thought made me feel sick.


I didn't think I could be this ill, but all the pressure had been weighing on me, and I had no choice but to accept it. I got out of bed and walked to the sink to brush my teeth.


Yesterday, when we were getting ready, Jessica told me she wanted to have breakfast in the garden this morning. It sounded nice, but I wasn't in the mood to eat. Still, I always liked seeing Jessica.

Before he came in, I slipped on the white summer dress with yellow flowers. When our eyes met, he seemed to almost sigh.
