Chapter 13: Confusing Eyes

“Leo, I mean it,” I said as calmly as I could. “Let go.”

Leo just chuckled and continued to hold me tightly. He was extremely good at making this look playful. He even made a show of spinning me around as if we were dancing. I tried to pull away, but he just tightened his hand around my wrist, making me cry out.

His eyes darkened, and he looked around, as if making sure no one had been alarmed by the noise I made. “Hush now,” he ordered, and he started to pull me away from the pool. “Now, be a good little girl, and I’ll make this quick.”

My heart rate rose at his words, and I reached out to smack his shoulder. “Don’t do this,” I said, my voice closer to a beg now, which I hated, but he was bigger and much stronger than me.

I looked around, really not wanting to make a scene, but if he continued this way, I wouldn’t have much of a choice.
