This is a legend students shared among themselves as a warning tale about academic pressure and… supernatural consequences.
According to the legend, years ago, a young girl sat for an important exam in a school that was rumored to be haunted.
She was a top student and was popularly known for her perfectionism and failure phobia (fear of failure).
On the day of the test, she was determined to finish every question, no matter how long it took.
As time ran out, the proctor announced that all students should turn in their papers.
But the girl remained seated on her exam chair, holding her pen tightly with her eyes fixed on the test.
The teachers called her name, but she did not respond.
Thinking she was just anxious, they left her alone in the exam room, thinking she would turn in her paper soon and leave.
But when they returned later, she was gone—
Yet her belongings were still there.
Strangely, her test paper was blank.
Since then, students say they hear the sound of scratching of a pen against paper in that very exam room.
Some have even reported to their form mistresses that they saw the ghost of a girl hunched over a desk, writing something on a paper.
Till now the girl is there, desperately trying to finish a test that never ends.
