As the days went by, Aurélie couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. She would see people lurking in the shadows, or notice strange cars following them.
Léon tried to reassure her, telling her that she was just being paranoid. But Aurélie knew what she had seen, and she couldn't ignore the sense of unease that had settled in the pit of her stomach.
One night, as they were walking home from a dinner date, Aurélie saw a figure following them. She grabbed Léon's arm, her heart racing with fear.
"What's wrong?" Léon asked, looking around.
Aurélie nodded towards the figure. "That person is following us," she whispered.
Léon's eyes narrowed, and he quickly pulled Aurélie into a nearby alleyway. They waited there, holding their breath, as the figure walked by.
As they watched, the figure looked around, clearly searching for them. Aurélie felt a chill run down her spine.
"We have to get out of here," Léon whispered, his eyes locked onto the figure. "Now."
Aurélie nodded, and they quickly made their way back to Léon's apartment. As they locked the door behind them, Aurélie felt a sense of relief wash over her.
But as they stood there, catching their breath, Aurélie realized that they couldn't stay hidden forever. They had to take action, to protect themselves from the people who were trying to hurt them.
"What are we going to do?" Aurélie asked, looking up at Léon.
Léon's eyes were grim, but determined. "We'll figure something out," he said. "Together."
But as they stood there, Aurélie couldn't shake the feeling that they were running out of time.
