I pressed my hand firmly against my mouth to suppress my weeping and turned to send a message home. [Mom, I'm ready to proceed with the arranged marriage.]
By chance, the day Ethan held his nuptials happened to coincide with the auspicious date I selected for my own marriage registration.
Upon seeing the photograph I shared announcing my matrimony, his complexion instantly drained of color.

From Hidden Love to Heartbreak and Revenge

Ethan gazed at the woman before him, but his mind was filled with memories of Kathleen—her timid, sorrowful expressions that once made his heart race.


He remembered Kathleen's final message: a brief "Okay."


Suddenly, rage coursed through him as he clasped Catherine's hand. "Did you communicate with Kathleen afterward? Otherwise, why would she abruptly become so cold? Also, this wedding gown looks terrible on you! It can't even compare to hers!"


After angrily berating Catherine, Ethan turned to leave.


Catherine desperately reached out, attempting to grasp him.


But Ethan forcefully shoved her away, causing her to fall. Without looking back, he stormed out of the wedding venue.


Following dinner with Luke, he escorted me to the Mitchel Family residence, where I was introduced to several of their elders. He then presented me to all his acquaintances, ensuring everyone was aware of my presence, providing me with a sense of belonging I had never experienced before.
