Cater stood in front of Avalor's grand gates, the castle looming behind him like a fading memory. He turned back to take one last look, his dark eyes scanning the towers and walls that had been both his home and his torment.

Just as he began to walk away, a voice called out behind him.

"Cater!"

He froze mid-step, turning slowly to see Jane running toward him. Her face was a mixture of sadness and desperation as she stopped just short of him, tears threatening to spill.

"I'm sorry," she said, her voice trembling as she pulled him into a hug. Her arms clung to him tightly, and for a moment, Cater allowed himself to feel the warmth of her concern.

After a few moments, she pulled away, looking up at him with a mix of guilt and determination. "Are you… are you going back to the underworld?"
