Take me home, where I belong

My heart was beating very fast. I was looking forward to meeting them and at the same time I was nervous. The car stopped in front of the house. We entered the house and Killian's parents were waiting for us in the living room. When Killian's mother saw me, she hugged me. I didn't expect that, because my mother had never hugged me before.

Amelia: "We are very happy to see you. Let's go out into the garden. The weather is nice."

We went out into the garden together. It was very beautiful. The servant brought us refreshments in the garden. 

Henry: "We didn't think you'd stay with us. We talked about it yesterday, and your parents wanted you to live with them. We're glad you're here."

Me: They already told us about it this morning, but I think this way Killian and I will get to know each other faster. 

I couldn't tell them that I wanted to stay away from them, so I made this decision.

Amelia: "We were really happy when Killian called and told us about it."

I spent only a few minutes with them, but I feel love from them. I never felt that with my parents.

Amelia: "Killian will show you around the house. Let us know if you need anything."

Me: Thank you.

Killian and I went into the house. He showed me where everything was. Finally, we entered our room, where they had already brought out my luggage. I'm very tired. Now I just want to take a bath and then rest.

Me: Killian, I'm going to rest for a while.

Killian: "Okay, I'll leave you then. Call me if you need anything."

I closed the door, opened my suitcase, and started picking out clothes. I wanted to be comfortable, so I chose shorts and a T-shirt. I took a shower, and went to bed. I was so tired that I soon fell asleep. When I woke up it was already evening. I went downstairs with the others.

Amelia: "You'll be hungry, I'll make you something."

Me: Thank you. I will help you.

Amelia: "It is necessary. Go to Killian, he's outside in the garden."

No one has ever cooked for me. I am very happy about this. I went out to the garden where Killian was. He seemed to be taking care of company business. Now I remembered that there would be chaos in my company because Mia wouldn't do anything and I hadn't been to the office for the second day. I called Mia immediately.

Me: Where are you?

Mia: "I'm at a restaurant. I don't have time to talk to you right now."

Me: Were you at the company today?

Mia: No, I'm not free right now. Let's talk tomorrow.

Me: Okay, tell him I said hello.

Mia: "I don't know what you're talking about."

She hung up on me, but I already know everything. She wouldn't go to a restaurant alone, so I know who she's with.

Killian: "Did you sleep well?"

Me: Yes, I was very tired. Maybe that's why I slept so well.

Killian: "I'll finish work soon, and then we're going to watch a movie. Will you join us?"

Watching a movie? I never watched one with my family. I couldn't even stay in the same room with them.

Killian finished work soon after and we went into the room to watch a movie. It was so much fun watching a movie with them. For the first time, I felt like I had a family. I never thought spending time with family could be so much fun. Henry and Amelia left after the movie ended. Killian and I stayed because it was still early and we didn't want to go to sleep.

Killian: "Now you choose what you want to watch."

Me: Are you sure? What if I turn on something you don't want to watch?

Killian: "I can watch anything and it's not a problem for me. That way I'll know what you like to watch."

After a lot of searching, I finally decided to watch a movie that has been my favorite since childhood.

Killian: "I knew you would choose that movie."

Me: How do you know? I never told you about it.

Killian: "If I hadn't known this, I wouldn't have been able to choose a wedding dress for you. I know your favorite color is blue, and that's why you've liked this dress since you were a child. I told you I love you and it's impossible for me not to know such details about you."

Me: I know and do you want me to tell you a secret?

Killian: "Tell me."

Me: I already knew you loved me before you told me.

He had a surprised look on his face. He had no idea I knew about it.

Me: Years later, we met again on my birthday. That day, you realized you liked me, didn't you? After that, I often saw you at my workplace and in places I often go to.

Killian: "I had no idea you knew about this."

Me: Now you know that I know things about you too.

I was laughing at his surprised face. He probably still couldn't believe it all. We continued watching the movie.

I woke up in the bedroom in the morning. I don't remember how I ended up here. I must have fallen asleep while watching a movie and Killian brought me in to make myself comfortable.

I changed my clothes, got ready, and left the room. As it turned out, breakfast was already ready and Killian was waiting for me.

Killian: "Good morning, what are our plans today?"

Me: I don't know, aren't you going to work?

Killian: "Yes, I'm going."

Me: Okay, then I have to go to the company too. There would be a lot of work to do and I'm sure Mia wouldn't do anything.

Killian: "Let's have breakfast first and then we'll go."

I ate a piece of toast and drank coffee to wake myself up.

While we were having breakfast, Killian got a call from work and had to leave immediately.

Amelia: "Has Killian left already?"

Me: Yes, he got a call from work.

Amelia: "Henry, dear, it's time for you to go, don't be late."

Henry: "You're right, it's time for me to go. You and Lily continue talking, then if you want, go shopping."

Amelia: "Okay, honey, I'll take care of everything."

She walked him to the door, then came back to me. They're such a cute couple.

Amelia: "Lily, do you have any plans? If you want, we can go shopping."

Me: I was going to go to the company, I have a lot of work.

Amelia: "Okay, whatever you want. I'll tell the driver and he'll take you."

Me: Thanks, but I'd rather go by myself.

Amelia: "As you say. Your car key is in the room."

Car key? My car isn't here?

Me: Which car?

Amelia: It's your gift. You thought you'd go to work without a car.

I couldn't believe it. My parents bought me a car just so they wouldn't gossip about it. After the wedding, I had to leave it at home because it's theirs. Meanwhile, Killian's parents bought me a car because I had to go to work.

I immediately hugged her.

Me: Thank you, thank you very much.

I don't know how to express what I'm feeling right now. Gratitude, joy, love... I felt it all at once.

I said goodbye to Amelia and went up to my room. I changed and headed to work. I was right, Mia had nothing to do these days. She probably didn't come to work at all. If it weren't for me, she wouldn't have come at all. There's so much work to do that I probably won't be home until late.

I called Mia and she didn't answer. I'm not surprised at all that she's acting like this. I started typing a message.

Me: "I'm waiting for you at work, come here as soon as you see this message. I have a lot of work to do and I need your help."

I sent a message and got to work.

It was already noon, but Mia had neither read my message nor come to work. I was a little nervous because she always answers my messages when she's not at work. I called her again, but she didn't answer.

Mia: "I'm here, why are you calling me?"

Me: I got worried when you didn't answer me.

Mia: "You really are a workaholic. I thought you'd take a few days off since you got married, but here you are anyway."

Me: You're right. I'll take the days off, but you'll be here working. You know, I'll check on you sometimes, and it's better to be here.

I grabbed my bag from the office and left. I really deserve a little rest. Sorry Mia, but it's time for you to work.
