~'Time and again they pushed him to the limit…'~
~{PSALM 78:41a (MGS)}~
*
"Even though I get punished at least you won't be spared," Psalm said back and the demon smiled.
"Then it is sealed. Let's both get punished. Who knows, maybe you'll never get to see Hazel anymore," Kervin confidently said but Psalm simply stared at him.
"And do you think Hazel will want to be with you if she finds out what you've been up to?" Psalm asked back and Kervin smirked evilly.
"Let her find out. She'll thank me."
"For destroying her family?" Psalm inquired.
"Her family was already destroyed, Psalm. Don't put the blame on me," Kervin drawled.
"Well, what do I expect from a demon?"
"Let's make a deal."
"I DON'T DO DEALS, KERVIN!" Psalm angrily reminded him.
The demon really got on his nerves and it frustrated him that he had to see him every single day as far as their tasks were related.
"Consider this one I am about to tell you," Kervin bargained as he became serious.
"I made a mistake entering your car."
Saying that, Psalm turned to leave but Kervin swiftly appeared in front of him and held him by the arm.
"Since you don't want to make a deal with me then prepare to lose her," he confidently said.
"Lose her to you?" Psalm scoffed and slapped the demon's hand away.
"Don't underestimate me, Psalm." Kervin warned.
"It's good you know I underestimate you, Kervin," Psalm retorted and smiled as he walked past him.
"Did you know I kissed Hazel?"
At the demon's words, Psalm halted and slowly turned to face the demon who had his back against him.
"And you think I'll believe you?"
"That is left for you. Anyways…" he faced him and continued, "...I kissed her right here," he pointed to his lips and smiled sinisterly.
"I don't believe you," Psalm said and resumed walking.
"And she moaned in delight and called out my name. It was the sweetest melody I have ever heard…"
The demon kept rambling on and it infuriated Psalm to an extent it made him punch a nearby tree in anger, causing it to shatter.
"Whoa! That's a hell of an anger you got in there big guy," Kervin praised him.
Facing the demon, Kervin noticed that his eyes had turned bright gold in color.
"Don't tell me you want to fight me over a lady and not just any lady but a mortal,'' Kervin asked with a look of incredulity.
But instead of looking offended, Psalm scoffed.
"Have you forgotten how angels communicate with demons in hell?"
At that question, Kervin's eyes widened in disbelief.
"Psalm, you can't be serious."
"Have I ever joked before?"
And after saying that, the angel vanished from his presence, causing Kervin to quickly follow him.
He couldn't believe the angel was actually going to report him. He thought he was actually bluffing.
Wow! Maybe he should really be careful of what he says from now onwards because the angel's anger was something he shouldn't joke with.
"Psalm! Don't do this!"
He found him standing at an infamous river bank in Rose Vale.
In an eerie manner, Psalm slowly turned his face to look at Kervin who stood some distance behind him, and he smiled evilly and declared,
"Too late, Kervin. It has already been finalized."
His big gold wings tore out of his back and the river parted for him to jump in.
"NO!"
Kervin screamed as his own silver wings tore out of his back as well.
He rushed at Psalm and they both collided with each other, causing them to fall into the hole the river created before it closed up.
