Chapter 13

After knowing what the seal meant, Adele instantly used her eternal name seal in an ingenious way. Since it was 'Nobilitas' it would naturally react to the noble air around, right?

This was indeed the case, she had only pulsated it a bit before she knew in which direction there was a lot of nobility. When she approached, it quickly became clear this this was the noble district. The mansions were huge, each had an illusory barrier around, and few walked the street, even though they were incredibly clean, just as the air above was a clear sky.

Adele knew one thing: the higher nobles have bigger mansions, so she flied around in an attempt to see the biggest mansion. When she finally seemed to enter the centre of the noble district, seven mansions stood out, especially two of them.

Sensing with her soul, Adele also knew that these mansions were the oldest, only slightly younger than her soul! This meant that they all existed just a few decades after the awakening. She didn't feel the same from any of the other mansions around.

They are probably the core of nobility. Looking around, she thought of which mansion to join, and instantly crossed four away, one of which was even among the two huge mansions.

These mansions all had weapons on their family crest. She knew this meant they were very likely war nobles, or border nobles. Regardless, both of them weren't to her taste. Although she was very likely to participate in war, she didn't want to be among those nobles that fought endlessly with no break.

The three remaining weren't any worse anyways. The huge mansion had a feather and a paper as crest 'Law makers? Or maybe high in he government?' She thought about it and it didn't seem bad to join them, but when she came a bit closer, she felt incredibly weak. Although she wasn't able to feel any enemies, she knew that if she entered the barrier, she wouldn't be able to escape.

'But how is this possible? The seal should shield me even if it was a ninth stage master… except…' she was shocked and quickly used her senses to feel around. When she did so, she felt the same power from the other large mansion she rejected, and an even stronger power seemed to come from the middle of the city, far away from her.

'I expected it… but for three factions to break through the upper limit… are they knights, wizards or gods? Or maybe something else?'

Regardless, just from this, she was knew that she wouldn't be able to join them, so she looked at the two other mansions. One had a crest of a shadowy figure that constantly changed shapes, while the other was a huge eye in the centre, it was purple and shining with silver light, just looking at it felt like everything was seen through.

Adele thought that this one would probably be even more dangerous, but she also thought that the most dangerous place would be the safest. If everyone thought like here – that these people who seem to be able to see through everything, then there was no way for them not to be able to see whether one was a heretic or not.

Because of this, she took the risk and approached the mansion, crossing the barrier.

Looking all around, she saw many single houses spread around and a large building with five stories in the middle. She didn't hesitate to approach the large building. She felt there was an extremely dangerous existence at the top of the building. Even if she wasn't detected by the barrier, if she came too close, that existence would find her.

So instead, she came to the first floor and looked at the servants. The servants knew best who was more important and who could be neglected. It has just become bright outside and they seemed to go around, clean the building and then prepare breakfast as well as wake up their masters.

There were two important people Adele paid attention to: the butler and the head maid. The butler would often serve the most important people directly, but he was also the assistant to the head of the house. The head maid would be the one serving the highest lady in the house.

Thinking of this, she finally decided to follow the head maid. She was responsible for all the maids in the house and in this age, she was also the assistant to the highest lady, helping her manage the household.

Although Adele thought that the current Victorian Age was likely very progressed, taking care of a household has never been an easy task. Especially for such a high standing noble family, they were likely extremely important people, second only to the head of the house. This is why she thought that even if it was progressed, no lady would reject that position.

As she followed, she soon arrived in front of a room on the fourth floor. The head maid opened the side door quietly and approached the bed. On the bed, there laid a fair lady with silver hair. A man with black hair laid next to her, somewhat hugging her.

The head maid was accustomed to it and only lightly tapped on the finger of the lady with a small bell. The bell didn't make any sound at all, but the lady seemed to have instantly woken up. But instead of being surprised or annoyed like any normal person that woke up would be, she moved slowly and carefully out of bed and left the room.

Adele looked and saw that the black haired man actually opened his eyes, they were extremely dark, but Adele was able to feel love inside of them, looking at the door. She didn't say anything and followed outside.

The silver haired beauty entered an office just on the other side of the floor, she sat on the sofa and listened to the reports of the head maid.
