Chapter 10: North Summit
When Dante and his team reached North Summit, they found a massive structure in the centre of the snow-capped peak. The structure housed the most secret and dangerous plans of the Brotherhood of Shadows. Inside, Elysia was waiting for them.
Ryker analysed the energy signals outside the building. "Elysia isn't the only one here. There are high-security systems and heavily armed soldiers. This is a direct ambush."
Dante spoke coldly, checking his silver-plated pistols. "It's time to end this. Ryker and Kaelene, stay here and prepare the escape route. Elysia is my job."
Kaelene was about to protest, but stopped when she saw Dante's determination. "Okay. But do it in one piece, okay?"
Dante took one more look at his team and went inside.

Confrontation with Elysia
The interior of the building was high-tech. The walls were adorned with symbols of the Brotherhood of Shadows. When Dante reached the centre of the building, he found Elysia in the middle of a large platform.
Elysia stood elegantly but deadly in the centre of the platform. In her hand was a custom-made sword, glowing with energy. "You've finally arrived," Elysia said with a wry smile. "I thought the North Summit was a fitting place for a final meeting."
Dante raised his pistols. "I'm going to end this nonsense here, Elysia. No one will be harmed any further."
Elysia replied, raising her sword. "Then try. But remember, everyone who's come this far has underestimated me. The result was always the same."

Fierce fight: Dante and Elysia
Elysia charged at Dante with incredible speed. Her energy sword struck the metal floor of the platform, sending sparks flying. Dante dodged the blow at the last moment and struck back at Elysia. The bullets from their pistols were wasted by Elysia's agile movements.
Dante moved quickly around Elysia, trying to find an opening. But Elysia attacked Dante from a distance, using her sword like a boomerang. The sword split the platform in two with a wave of energy. Dante was knocked backwards by the impact, but recovered quickly.
"That's it, Dante?" sneered Elysia. "Do you really think someone like you can stop me?"
Dante kept his composure and recharged his pistols. "You've talked about this too much. Now it's my turn."

Dante's Move
Elysia quickly attacked again. This time, however, Dante watched Elysia's movements carefully, catching the opening for her sword's strike. He ducked out of the way of Elysia's swing and slid to the ground, firing two shots at close range.
The bullets hit Elysia's left shoulder. Elysia staggered back but quickly recovered. "You really hurt me," she said sarcastically, but her voice trembled with anger.
Dante was not idle. Throwing one of his pistols to the ground, he lunged at Elysia and pointed the pistol in his other hand directly at the hand holding Elysia's sword. "This time you will not escape."

Final Blow
Elysia tried to push Dante back with a last ditch effort. But Dante, sensing Elysia's move, avoided the attack with a side step and aimed the pistola directly at Elysia's chest.
"This is the end of you," Dante said coldly.
Elysia collapsed to the floor, gasping for breath. Dante reholstered his silver-plated pistol and said one word before pulling the trigger:
"Jackpot."

The End of the Brotherhood of Shadows
With Elysia's death, the Northern Summit's energy systems began to fail. Dante quickly exited the building and reached Ryker and Kaelene. Ryker spoke as he watched the building explode. "Did we make it?"
Dante calmly replaced his pistols. "Yes. This was the end for the Brotherhood of Shadows."
Kaelene walked over to Dante and placed a hand on his shoulder. "One more thing. What are we going to do next?"
Dante replied, looking off into the distance. "We'll find some peace for now. But if we have learnt anything, it is that war is never completely over."
