A Princess escapes her kingdom from her extended family in search of a scroll that seals her future and seat on the throne after the murder of her parents.
In a kingdom foreign to her, she works as a servant to a strange woman who sees her as a friend .
She meets a boy who is only year older and lies about status in society on their first meeting, his master is a man with inner demons fighting against his humanity, searching for more than he was meant to be.
How will a princess overcome a million obstacles and find her way to a mythical land that might hold the scroll she seeks . Will the people she meets serve as helpers and friends to finding her destiny or are they the very obstacle against her, hiding in plain sight.
I love this book. The characters are not exactly cliche but familiar . I love the inner dialogue of protagonist, when I read it I feel like she is actually speaking to me and that way I am better indulged into the storyline. And Her relationship with Errand boy is just hilarious, their banter is everything . And Joshak oh my goodness, I hate him but don’t at the same time.
This book is about strength when there is little to no hope .
