Ethan Kurosawa was dozing off in class, the muffled chatter around him fading into the background. The sudden ringing of the bell startled him awake. His arm jerked, bumping his classmate’s desk. Something small and metallic fell onto his hand—a sharp sting followed.



He flinched, looking down at the faint mark on his finger. For a moment, a strange sensation spread through him, faint but unmistakable. It left him uneasy, as though something unseen had shifted inside. He shook his head, brushing it off as nothing.
