Lucy said, "Now, leave my house."
Julian walked into the room and raised an eyebrow. "Your house?"
Lucy quickly corrected herself. "I meant your house."
Lisa and her crew left, closing the door behind them.
Julian exhaled and looked at Lucy. "You do realize you're one of the richest women—no, richest humans—on the planet, right?"
Lucy crossed her arms. "Where are you going with this?"
"After the wedding, you're moving out."
Lucy scoffed. "So you're kicking your own sister—your own family—out onto the street?"
Julian rolled his eyes. "Again, you're one of the richest people on Earth. You're not exactly going to be homeless."
Lucy smirked. "Why are you really kicking me out?"
Julian ran a hand through his hair. "Because I'm tired of your drama. Like today—you slapped someone, exposed business secrets, and I know you planned all of it."
Lucy's smirk grew. "I'll leave… if you just say it outright. Say you're kicking me out."
Julian clenched his jaw. "Fine. I'm kicking you out."
Lucy grinned. "Thank you! Now I have it on record." She tapped her phone. "This might ruin your image… maybe even slowly damage the MII."
Julian groaned. "I hate you."
Lucy grinned wider. "Got that too."
Julian pinched the bridge of his nose. "Fine. Stay."
Lucy turned on her heel. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I have wedding invitations to send out."
Julian frowned. "You don't even know the date of the wedding."
Lucy didn't miss a beat. "Two weeks from now. Sunday. 10 AM to 3 PM. Guests will be picked up by plane and taken to the island."
Julian stared at her. "...Still, get out of my office."
Lucy waved him off. "Bye!"
Lucy arrived at Lisa's penthouse—a sleek, glass-walled home perched on a private beach. Rare birds fluttered in aviaries, and a Kentucky Derby-bred horse roamed the stables.
Inside, Lisa was fuming.
"You have some nerve showing up here," Lisa hissed.
Lucy smirked. "You look awful."
Lisa forced a smile. "You ruined my life."
She picked up a knife.
Lucy, completely unfazed, calmly held out an envelope. "Relax. You're invited to Julian's wedding. This invitation explains everything. Oh, and I have a job offer for you."
Lisa narrowed her eyes. "A job?"
"I want you to be the first news reporter for Lucy Truth Fair News—LTFN for short."
Lisa scoffed. "You're messing with me."
"Nope," Lucy said. "Your old job is gone, just like AWNR. So I'm hiring you."
Lisa looked at her suspiciously. "Why me? And when did you even decide to start your own news network?"
Lucy smiled. "I was bored. And when I was slapping you earlier, I realized… why not? So here we are."
Lisa stared at her. Then she laughed. "You're crazy."
Lucy grinned. "See you at work."
