The Football Icon

"I have got to find a way to improve my shot power, agility and passing before the trials start ", Vincent mumbled to him self. He was quite happy with the advancement of his stats, as he knew he needed to improve them fast.

"Damn, it took me 6 months to improve my OVR by 2 points. It must be because of my talent, just how far is it from those legends? "Vincent wondered.

"System how do I improve my talent? "Vincent asked.

[The Host can buy a minor talent upgrade potion in the LV 2 SHOP and great talent upgrade potion in LV 3 SHOP or acquire them through missions].

"System how do I get SP ?" Vincent questioned.

[Through achievements or completing milestones ].

Vincent knew that a good player, had to have good running form and low center of gravity to be able improve his agility and it was more off a technique than than fitness.

It seems he had to do double the work as he had more time now.

He finished his secondary school about five months ago and his mom was back home a week after the incident took place. He and Selena begged her to just rest and just manage one job since I was done with school for now but she wouldn't budge, eventually we haggled down to two less stress full jobs, while i focused on Soccer which she supported wholeheartedly.

Vincent joined a football training club to use their drill equipment, borrowing from George who gladly gave it to him.

A month later, two days before the trials in Abuja, Vincent entered a bus from Lagos to Abuja which he paid for with George's help. He told his mum he was going for a trial in Lagos but Selena knew it was in Abuja but she didn't snitch. She just whispered into my ear "you owe me big time ," which he chuckled and acknowledged.

He rented a room in cheap motel for a day to rest and get prepared mentally for the trial tomorrow. As he plopped down on the bed, he called out " system show me my status ".

Vincent smiled in satisfaction when he saw his stats, he believed he had a good chance in being scouted. He then decided to get a shut eye and leave tomorrow for tomorrow as the 20+ hrs journey had tired him out.
