Julian stretched to open the door of the car and then Emma entered. The car began to move, and it was then Julian realized that she has not told him her destination..
"You do know when you enter a taxi, you tell the driver your destination." Julian smiled.
"Oh sorry." Emma forgot about that which was not a surprise because this was her first time doing this and she also felt it was weird that Julian would refer to himself as a taxi driver.
Emma knew that it was already getting really late so she started to think. She knew that if she went to her home to change, she will not be able to meet up with the party. She did not plan to stay long in the party because of the event tomorrow.
If it was up to her, she would not even entertain the idea of going to the party especially with the event tomorrow but she had already told Sophie she would come.
"So…" Julian said as he watched Emma think.
"Sorry, am sorry." Emma got herself back. "Do you know Oak Street? It's around the major market." She continued.
Emma decided to go to the party straight which was in Sophia's place and she also thought it was better this way because at least Julian would not know where she lives.
"Yeah I think I am familiar with there, and if I am not sure you can just give me directions." Julian said.
They continued to move, to her surprise Julian did not say much while he drove, she just gave him directions when needed and that was just it.
They finally reached their destination, "You can stop over at that house there." Emma pointed at Sophie's house.
Julian looked over at the house and slowly parked. There was loud music coming from the house and someone could easily tell that there was a party going on there.
"Well this is a surprise, I didn't think you would be someone that goes to parties." Julian said.
"Don't judge a book by its cover remember, and my friend invited me, she said I needed to get out more." Emma said as she opened the car door and went out.
"I think we will be seeing each other often." Julian said.
Emma closed the door, "I doubt that, and thanks for the ride, I really appreciate it."
"Yeah it's no problem. Have a good time at the party." Julian said.
Julian went on to drive away and Emma stood there and watched him. She waited till he was no longer in sight before she moved to the house. She went on to the house, and when she reached the front door she rang the bell. Without taking much time, someone opened the door and it was Sophie.
"Hey girl!!" She yelled. "I am so glad you made it."
The one thing that stood out about Sophia was her red hair, it was natural and it brought out her beauty. Her bright brown eyes and her fair skin.
Emma smiled, "Yeah, I made it."
"Come, come on in." Sophie dragged Emma by her hand and took her inside.
Emma was now inside, she looked around and there were a lot of people and that made her start to feel uncomfortable. But regardless she tried her best to feel okay.
"Wait, are you coming from work?" Sophie asked.
"Ummm… yeah, is it because of what I am wearing? I thought it was also okay for the party."
"No no the dress is fine, I was just curious."
Emma gave a sigh of relieved. There were now in the middle of the living room which was very large and it was were most people were. The music was playing loudly, everyone were dancing.
"Okay now, you are here, so just have fun, dance to the music, and don't forget to mingle with people here." Sophie yelled as she was about leaving Emma.
Emma stopped Sophie, "Wait, you are leaving me alone."
"Yeah, don't worry, I will be back to check up on you." Sophie said. "I would have introduced you to some people here but I don't really think that is necessary."
Sophie went on leaving Emma. Now Emma was alone in a room filled with people. This was the last thing she wanted, she was not used to parties and she did not know what to do.
The music kept on playing, at some point she tried to find Sophie but that was to no avail. At some point she got tired and decided to leave the living room.
She has been to Sophie's home multiple times so finding her way around was not an issue, she went straight to the back of the house where the swimming pool was. Luckily there weren't much people there so she went and sat down by the side of the swimming pool.
Now she was alone, but unlike before she was calm and she could think. The music was loud inside but she could barely hear it which was better for her.
She brought out her phone and check the time, it was really late but it was not midnight yet. She knew that she would be leaving soon but she was enjoying the moment she was having, mostly because she was not home.
While she was there, there was a sudden loud bang that came from inside the house and because of the shock she got from it, her phone flew out of her hands and fell into the water.
She went closer to the swimming pool trying to look for her phone. The thought of going into the swimming pool to get her phone came up but she did not want to get her clothes wet and now she was confused.
Out of nowhere, someone jumped into the swimming pool, she was confused, she did not know why someone would do that. Then the person came out of the swimming pool and she just stared at him.
He was tall and his had long black hair but that was not the thing that got her attention. His clothes were all drenched with water and because of that his body came out, his abs were very visible, and his arms were well built.
Emma could not stop staring, this one was of the rare times that she has been like this. He started to walk slowly to her as she kept on staring.
"This should be yours." He raised his hand giving her the phone.
