Part 7

Cassandra chuckled as Vivian looked awkward. The blonde-haired girl also tried to avoid eye contact with her half-sister.

"You take it easy, little sister, I won't hesitate to explain to you what I mean. I'm a good big sister, aren't I?" Cassandra patted Vivian's shoulder again and smiled faintly.

"Cassandra, what do you really want? Are you trying to pressure Vivian into getting back with me? No Cassandra, you'll never be able to get my forgiveness again. I'm fed up and very sick of what you've done with that man!" Jordan suddenly came to Vivian's defence.

While saying this, Jordan looked so emotional that he grabbed his chest and hit it. People who saw this would definitely sympathize with him.

Jordan, who had already gained sympathy, immediately turned around and pointed at Cassandra. This time, it looked like he was going to play the victim.

"You see, she's the woman I've been with, my fiancée. I helped her take care of the hotel her family inherited. I even cleaned the guest rooms, washed their sheets. But what did you see? This girl was with someone else and introduced him as her husband. Don't you think I'm hurt by this?" Jordan patted his chest again and spoke through tears.

'Help me clean the hotel? Washing the sheets, you mean taking the dirty sheets and giving them to the laundry guy?' Cassandra thought with a smile.

At that moment, everyone in the room whispered to each other while glancing at Cassandra. They said Cassandra was a woman who had no rules and was ungrateful.

Charles also heard that and tried to take Cassandra's hand to give her strength. Cassandra turned to her husband and nodded.

Cassandra seemed to gain strength that she had never had before with Charles. It was like she woke up and realized that everything around her was just a fake.

At first, she thought Jordan always accompanied her to care for her mother's hotel because he loved her so much and didn't want to be away from her. But it turned out that it was all done to gain control of her inheritance.

"Oh, if you hadn't said that, I might have forgotten that you were always helping me at the hotel. It seems like you also involved yourself with manual labor, isn't that right?" asked Cassandra while glancing at Jordan.

"You already know that, but what did you do to me? Was it all worth it?" replies Jordan.

Cassandra then took out her cell phone and showed it to the people in the room. "You see here how my ex-fiancé was so instrumental in helping me at the hotel."

They all started to move closer to Cassandra's phone and saw what a sacrifice by Jordan Wright looked like. Cassandra accidentally recorded the video. She had intended to take a video of the hotel, but instead, she caught Jordan throwing a dirty sheet at an elderly housekeeper while giving her the order to wash it.

Jordan flinched when he saw the footage, especially when everyone there started looking at him with scornful eyes.

"Cassandra, that's enough! Turn off the video. Stop showing fake footage to bring me down!" Jordan shouted.

The man with the undercut hair immediately turned to the guests. With Vivian's help, he began to clarify.

"You can't believe this woman's statement. She deliberately made a fake video to bring me down! Or maybe I did something wrong by telling an elderly employee to wash the bed sheets, but that's not her duty as a housekeeper. I'm Cassandra's ex-fiancé who is a manager, so if I washed the sheets, it was because I was trying to help them." Jordan then defended himself.

"What Jordan said is true. He's an operations manager, it's his job to inspect the rooms and if he finds dirty sheets, of course he should replace them with new ones to make the guests feel comfortable," Vivian added, trying to defend Jordan.

Vivian then turned to Cassandra and looked at her sad. "Cassandra, why do you have to slander Jordan like this? What wrong has he done to you? He had the heart not to sue you for your betrayal, so why are you still making him feel humiliated like this? Shouldn't you be the one apologizing to him?"

"Apologize?" asked Cassandra as she put her hands to her ears. "Did I hear you wrong? Why should I apologize to her?"

Vivian's lips trembled as she tried to say something, but Cassandra spoke first. "Am I supposed to apologize because she has been working with you to manage my mother's inherited hotel, which is legally written in my name, not Vivian Hartley, who is unrelated to my mother, Emily Roger? Or should I apologize? I just found out that today is your anniversary with my ex-fiancé, who dumped me a week ago". Cassandra paused momentarily and asked mockingly, "What anniversary is today anyway?"

Vivian gasped. At that moment, gossip was again heard about Vivian and Jordan. They were questioning how Jordan could celebrate an anniversary with someone else when he had only dumped Cassandra one week ago. They all questioned whether Jordan could be having an affair with his half-sister.

Vivian can't stand this and leaves her standing crying. Jordan, who saw this, clenches his fist while pointing his index finger at Cassandra, and his eyes turn bright red. "You! Are you satisfied with making Vivian cry? You really made her depressed. If anything happens to her, then I'll make a calculation with you!"

Cassandra smiled faintly, patted Jordan's arm gently, and then brought her face closer to the man. "You know what, Jordan? This attitude of yours just makes them all the more convinced that I'm the one you've betrayed."

Jordan snorted in annoyance and left Cassandra and her husband to catch up with Vivian. Cassandra let out a long breath, and her hands felt cold.

"You're so cool, Cassandra. I didn't expect you to have the courage to unmask them," Charles said.

Once again, Cassandra let out a long breath. "I'm actually scared. Can't you feel my cold hands? But like you said, it's a start."

"Hmm, yes I'm proud of you."

"By the way, did you already know that Jordan was in this place?" asked Cassandra.

Charles didn't say anything. Instead, he took out a notebook from his coat pocket. "Here are some schedules of their activities that I got from my messenger. Maybe you can get some inspiration from here."

Cassandra accepted Charles's notebook and started reading it.

"Charles, why are you doing all this?"

Charles smiled slightly, "Simple, because I'm your husband."
