CHAPTER TWO:Will he survive?
*AT THE THEATRE*
DENNIS:(Sighs as rose walk on with lisa) my goodness
you are here, this boy refused to get operated on and he is at the verge of loosing his life.
MELISA:(rushes to where the boy lie down) hi cutie! what is your name?
JOSHUA:(in pain) i am joshua.
MELISA :(Smilling) that means i can call you joe right?
JOSHUA:yes
MELISA:I know you dont want to us to opeeate on you because you are scared but i promise you will make it out of here alive you just have to believe okay?
JOSHUA:okay but the pain.
MELISA:No worries will give you an injection that will make you sleep. (To rose) get me the injection .

ROSE:(Relieved)now me and den can carryout the surgery.
MELISA:(Calmly) no worries i will do the surgery myself.

MELISA:(Interupt her)its an order.
ROSE:Okay we will be outside(exit den and rose).
*Melisa carried out the surgery herself and in an hour she was done and joe survived.
ELLA:You did it. I will go lie him down at room 23.
MELISA: Thanks but i will do it myself.
ELLA: If you say so.
MELISA:(Carries joe in her arms and headed for ward 23 and lie him down).
He woke up as she lay him down.
JOSHUA:(opens his eyes slowly) did i make it?
MELISA:(Smiling) yes, you made it.
JOSHUA:(Happily) thank you for making sure i came out alive.
MELISA:You are welcome but you should be thanking God, he just used me to save you and say thanks to yourself for believing the fact that you will make it

JOSHUA:(Smiling) you are the best doctor i have seen, this is my first time of seeing a doctor that is as friendly as you.
MELISA:Thanks, but this is kind of my nature and doctors ought to be friendly if you wantyour patient to recover fast. Ahm! i need to go attend to orther patients while you get some rest till your mom or dad come see you.
JOSHUA:(Mood darkens) .

JOSHUA: (Sadly) My mom will come see me but she will have to sneak out of the house so my dad dont see her else she will be in trouble cause i heard when my dad told her she just have to admit me at the hospital and come home and he will be the one to come take me home and she can't go against him else he will give her the beating of her life. I feel really sad for my mom and wished i culd help her but i can't do anything to ease her the stress.
MELISA:Does she have something doing like busine-ss or something ?
JOSHUA:No she can't do any thing like business or anything else because my dad told her not to do any thing as long as she remains his wife.
MELISA:(Not surprised) wo-w! I feel her pain but no worri-es i have a perfect solution to her problem ,so if she comes tell her to come to my office right away okay.?
JOSHUA:(Excited) okay i will.
MELISA:You should now have some rest why i go attend to some patient. (exit melisa) .
*AN HOUR LATER*
Alisha walk into joe's ward.
ALISHA:(Enters and sits beside joe bed) how is my prince doing?
JOSHUA:I am fine all thanks to the loving and carring doct-or and she said she would love to see you immediately.
ALISHA:(Worriedly) i hope all is well with you?
JOSHUA: (Comfortly) mum, is not about me but about yo-ur wellbeing, so you must see her now.
ALISHA:(Curiously) my wellbeing? Okay i will go see her (exit alisha).
*ATMELISA'S OFFICE*
Melisa is seen about going out of the office when she met alisha at the door.
MELISA:(opens the door) good afternoon ma!
ALISHA:Good afternoon doctor.
MELISA:How can i help you?
ALISHA:My son said you wanted to see me immediate-ly.
MELISA:(Rembers) oh! now i remember, forgive my mann-ers, you are the mother of joe who is at ward 23 presently ri-ght?

MELISA:You see, after operating on your son and m-akung sure he survives after so much hestitation from joe but all thanks to God was able to convince him and he made it,after which i took him to the ward myself and lay him down to have some rest i asked about you and his mood changed so i asked why and he told me everythi-ng about you being in a toxic marriage and not able to do anything.ma'm i am not marr-ed yet but i tell how mierable your life have been since you married your husband becau-i am a product of a toxic marr-iage and i can help you be a better person even in a toxic marriage. MELISA:Lisha, i know that you are not happy but you can make yourself happy in whatever situation you find youself includind being in a toxic marriage.The number one thing you have to do is to live like you are single. Yes, once you find yourself in a toxic marriage you have to live like a you are single because once your man change from who you ues to know to another person, he will start beating you, cheati- ng on you and even bringing the slots into your matrimoni-al home, nothing you do for him will satisfy him, he will no longer regard you, he will see you as a piece of rag and will treat you as one, he will force himself in you and lot of other ill things but he can only do this things to you if you give him the chance or if you allow him to do so. In this case you will have to be prayerful, you will have to be corageousl, strong and also be financially stable. You will have to stop being afraid of him, yes yiu will have to because the power God gave to man was not to maltreat us women. God said they are the head but once a man starts behaving like a beast you will have to put him in his place, rember him that the power that God gave him is not to maltreat us. He says he is the head and so you have to do as he says but as for me that so called rule does not apply to me, if you are bold to face him face to face he will mello-w down, when he tells you to sit down and you stand up, when he tells you not to leave the house and you leave, whe raise his hand to you and you raise your hand too he himself will reason, he will be like this one she is like this you never can tell where she has gone that will be his thin-king and he will start giving you the respect you deserve because men are the kind of people you have to show their boundries else they will tahe you for granted and for you to be courageous you will have to face your fear becau- se if you don't one day he will hit you and you will give up the ghost so the earlier you face your fear the better for you. Once you are have suc- ceded in facing your fear, the next thing is get yourslf som-ething doing so he won't be able to intimidate you with either power or money beca- use you have both but in all of these you have to be pray- erful so that your father will protect you physically, spirit-ually and ortherwise and he will see you through but if he continues and you are not able to keep up with his char-acter any more yiu should file for a divorce and find your square root but your children should be up to fifteen and above. I know that you are like i am advising you to be vi- lent which is not good but lis- ha in some cases violence is good or have you forgtten it is written in the bible that the kingdom of God suffers viole- ce and the violence takes it by force so if God said that who are you not to obey?
