Chapter 77 - What Happens In Two Days?

Isabella’s POV

The residual warmth from finally seeing Ethan, from being enveloped in his arms and hearing his voice, started to fade with each mile the sleek black car dragged toward the Rogue Pack Manor.

Once Ethan and I had formulated a rough plan—there was no way we could predict what would happen once I held the keys to Sebastian’s dungeon, after all—he had walked me back towards the edges of the port yard.

By then, the fires had been put out, but the heavy smoke and ash had clung to the air without remorse.

He’d been reluctant to release my hand once I insisted he leave before someone from the yard spotted him.

“Two days,” he repeated for what felt like the hundredth time.

I knew he was anxious about letting me go. I understood this was difficult for him, so I didn’t try to brush it aside.

“Hmm,” I agreed patiently. “Two days.”
