~{FRANCES' POV}~
*
If I was back in the day we played the game then this meant Logan was still in the grave and those terrible creatures weren't let in.
I sighed heavily as I touched my chest in relief. At this point I felt like crying for dodging my death.
But what do I do now?
Where do I even begin?
Right! I need to find Luke first.
With that in mind, I took out my phone from my trousers pocket and dialed his number.
It didn't take long and he answered.
"Francie," he called my name.
"Yes Luke, can we meet up?"
At my question he made a sound which made me realize he was smiling.
"Do you miss me already?" He asked.
"I do," I agreed.
"Alright then, I'll be on my way to you…"
"Meet me at Rene's house!" I hurriedly said.
"Rene's house?" He asked in confusion.
"Yes."
"Alright."
Once I ended the call, I sighed in relief and made my way to Rene's apartment which was walkable.
The apartment was solely hers, given by her parents as a birthday present so she could have her own space. That's why we used her place to play our games and do forbidden stuff.
When I got to her apartment, I got in without knocking and luckily, I met her in the living room.
"Don't you have manners, Frances?" She asked and rolled her eyes at me.
"This is my place, remember?" I reminded her and she scoffed.
In silence I walked up to her while taking in her appearance.
"Is Frances here?"
I heard another voice from one of the rooms and not long after, she rushed into the living room. It was Faith.
She was so eager to see me and she hastily came close and embraced me.
"It feels so good to hold you, Frances," she said and hummed in satisfaction.
"Oh stop it Faith, you see her all the time," Rene whined but I chuckled and held her back.
I still couldn't believe Logan had bitten her on the neck. It still felt unreal.
When she pulled away, she cupped my face and said, "You're too cute, Frances, I'm tempted to eat you up."
"Don't even try it," Rene warned.
"Or should I eat you up?" She rushed up to Rene who gave her a warning look but she still held her regardless and I just sat there grinning until someone knocked the front door.
"I'll get it!" I announced and hurried over because I knew who it was. And the thought of seeing him made me feel jittery and excited.
With a bright smile, I opened the door but went completely still.
The more I stared, the more I couldn't breathe.
"Did you think you could go back in time and change everything, Frances?"
It was Logan!
How!
In terror I was about to slam the door shut when he blocked it with his structure and it made me back off in fright.
But the next moment I blinked my eyes, it wasn't Logan anymore but Luke.
"Why did you do that, Frances?" He had a deep mar on his forehead as he looked at me in confusion.
"What have we done?" I murmured to myself and my lips trembled.
How was Logan here? How????
Without saying a word to Luke, I rushed past him and ran to the cemetery even though I knew it was very far.
"Frances!"
Luke called after me but I refused to respond as tears blurred my vision.
I was terrified, terrified for all of us. If Logan was here then nothing can be done.
But how was he even here? He couldn't time travel.
Strangely, in a blink of an eye I was right in front of his grave and what I dreaded sat visibly before me.
His grave was dug open.
"This is not good," I said and shivered when I felt a terrible cold out of nowhere.
"Is that how you see it?"
At those words, I slowly looked to my left and found Logan staring down at his grave with a pitiful face.
But then, he faced me and smirked.
"One thing you can never outrun is me," he declared but I just stood there in so much fear to a point I couldn't even do anything or run.
"Do you know what it's like to sleep in a coffin?"
At his question, my lips parted but the strangest thing happened, he pushed me into the open grave and instead of falling onto the soil, I fell inside a coffin and when I tried to get out, I realized I was bound by ropes.
My eyes went wide in alarm as I looked back up at Logan who grinned down at me as a shovel appeared in his hand.
"Sweet dreams my beloved," he wished me farewell and covered the coffin with its lid.
"NO!!! LOGAN PLEASE!" I screamed as more tears began to flow from my eyes.
As I moved, I soon realized I could move freely and was no longer bound by any rope.
"LOGAN!!! LET ME OUT!!!!"
The more I screamed, the more I felt more sand hit the coffin and it made me begin to cry like a baby. This was worse than being chased by a wolf.
"Please let me out!" I sobbed and began to bang against the coffin surface, hoping that he would let me out.
It took several minutes as I kept crying and struggling continuously until I heard a familiar song.
My lips parted in disbelief.
It couldn't be…. No
It couldn't be
How was any of this possible?
It sounded so near like they were singing it above the grave.
~ "With vampires, monsters and witches galore
Lurking behind every closed door
As you knock, beware the host
Will they be friendly, or a ghoul or ghost?
Will they bear treats of candy and toys?
Or will they pounce on little girls and boys?.....
It was the Halloween poem we normally sing five days to Halloween.
