"Um.. hey Natasha. Yeah I guess I did." I said, unsure of how to respond or converse with her.

Damn it. Why can't the classic troupe of the transference of memories that other 'transmigrated into novel mcs' have.

"Hm?" Natasha tilted her head in slight confusion. "Are you alright Nate?" She then asked.

'I'm fine, I just don't know how to associate with you since the novel never really delved on your relationship with Nathan' is what I would've liked to say but obviously, I couldn't do that.

Haaaa. What a drag.

"I'm fine. Just a little nervous". I replied awkwardly scratching my head.

"Oh. Don't worry. You'll do fine". She responded giving me a slap on the back.

Ow. What stupid strength.

"Next". I heard the man in front speak. Seeing that I was next, I walked forward ans entered into the airship.

Upon reaching inside the airship, I looked around in a mixture of curiosity and awe.

The interior, just as the exterior suggested was huge with mobile seats.

The whole setup was kinda similar to a lecture hall.

When the examinees finished boarding and all necessary precautions taken, the hatch door closed, and the ship began lifting slowly from the ground and took off.

After a while, the ship finally stabilised it's speed. I then looked out the window. The scene outside flashed by in a blur.

I wasn't the only one who looked out tho. Several other examinees did too. In minutes, we were outside Eden.

Clap

A clapping sound brought the attention of all of us examinees to the front where a man and a woman stood.

"Attention aspiring cadets. My name is Laura. I hold the rank of captain and I will be your examiner for this exam."

Hmm. A captain huh. Which would make her at least a Class two officer. Which makes her hella strong.

The man then walked forward and spoke. "My name is Morgan Whise. I also hold.the rank of captain and am also the examiner for this exam."

He then continued. "Shortly you will arrive at the designated location for your exams. So prepare yourself both physically and mentally".

Huuu. Luck? I'd need a literal miracle. Buy them again, it's Nathan's body so combat shoul-.

I stopped in my tracks as a sudden realisation hit me. I had no idea how to fight. None. Zilch.

I mean I'm sixteen for fuck's sake. In the heat of the moment, I had been blinded to this fact.

OK. Just wing it alright.

Soon the airship started visibly slowing down. It seems like we've arrived our destination or are at least almost there.

"Alright. The exam's duration is five hours. The top one hundred student are the only ones who will get in. The rest. Well when we get to that bridge, we'll cross it". I heard Morgan's voice speak out.

I snapped out of my thoughts, as a strong wind hit my face. Hu-

The floor underneath our seats opened up and dropped us from the sky.

I looked to my side and saw the other examinees screaming at the top of their lungs. Looks like I wasn't the only one caught off guard.

I clutched the hand of my seat and cursed those damn examiners in my head. 'Damn you. You fucking psychos'.

Having read the novel, I was well aware or I thought I was well aware of how brutal the academy could be.

But boy did I underestimate them. Didn't think they could drop literal children from the sky.

Then again they are training said children for war.

Haaa.

Fuck. But there's no way they would actually kill us. After all we are the future soldiers of Terra.

Right?

And yet we kept descending to the ground at an accelerating pace.

Shit. These bastards. Do they really intend on killing us.

Just as I feared the worst, a parachute opened from the side of the chair, slowing my descent.

"Haha". A hollow laugh came from my mouth. "Assholes", I muttered as the chairs landed safely on the ground.

I then unbuckled from the seat and stood up. Around me, more students had landed. They unbuckled their seat belts.

Suddenly the artifact on my, no our wrists began glowing softly.

And then almost out of nowhere, a holographic interface materialised in front of me, showing just one thing.
