Chapter 11 - Entrance exam (7)

Natasha's gaze swept the area, her eyes scanning for any sign of the mutated beasts she needed to take down. Her nano-tech suit hummed softly, its advanced sensors on high alert.

It didn't take her long to spot her target. A reptilian creature emerged from the underbrush, its eyes fixed on Natasha.

She veered sharply to the right, her suit's advanced propulsion system allowing her to move with incredible speed.

As she closed in on the beast, Natasha raised her energy rifle, taking aim with practiced ease.

The creature's eyes locked onto hers, and for a moment, they stared each other down.

Then, in a flash of movement, the beast lunged forward, its jaws wide open.

Natasha reacted instinctively, dodging to the side with a fluid motion.

Her rifle fired with a soft whoosh, sending a concentrated blast of energy hurtling toward the beast.

The creature tried to dodge, but Natasha's aim was true.

The energy blast struck the beast with incredible force, sending it crashing to the ground.

Natasha followed up with a swift kick, her suit's enhanced strength allowing her to deliver a devastating blow.

The beast's head imploded on impact, a spray of blood and gore erupting from the wound. Natasha stood tall, her chest heaving slightly as she caught her breath.

It had been a close call, but Natasha's training and quick reflexes had ultimately given her the upper hand.

She took a moment to scan her surroundings, ensuring there were no more threats lurking in the shadows.

Satisfied that the area was secure, Natasha turned her attention back to her suit's systems.

She needed to keep moving, to take down as many mutated beasts as possible if she was going to rack up enough points to pass the exam.

She checked the ranking list and saw that she had climbed to fourth place. Good.

With a deep breath, she then set off once more, her energy rifle at the ready. Bring it on.

************

On another screen in the large hall, a girl with striking white hair was shown.

Elizabeth stood confidently, her eyes fixed on the five mutated beasts emerging from the underbrush.

Each creature was roughly three times her size, their twisted bodies a mass of scaly flesh and razor-sharp claws.

The beasts let out a chorus of deafening roars, the sound waves shaking the earth beneath Elizabeth's feet.

But she didn't flinch, her gaze remaining fixed on the creatures as she raised her hands.

Elizabeth's nano-tech suit, a cutting-edge prototype, hummed softly as it amplified her movements.

She wore the suit like a second skin, its flexible metal limbs and torso plates glinting in the light.

With a swift motion, Elizabeth summoned a wave of ice, the frozen crystals erupting from the ground like a tidal wave.

The beasts, caught off guard, stumbled backward as the ice engulfed them.

Elizabeth seized the opportunity, dashing forward with incredible speed.

Her suit's advanced propulsion system allowed her to move with fluid ease, dodging the beasts' clumsy attacks with precision.

As she closed in, Elizabeth unleashed a barrage of ice shards, each one striking its mark with deadly accuracy.

The beasts stumbled, their twisted bodies weakened by the relentless onslaught.

One by one, the creatures fell, their massive bodies crashing to the ground.

Elizabeth stood tall, her chest heaving slightly as she caught her breath.

The hall erupted into cheers, the crowd applauding Elizabeth's skill and strategy.

She had faced down five mutated beasts, each one a formidable opponent, and emerged victorious.

With that done, she raised her arm and checked the rankings. She had climbed to number one although narrowly, but she had done it.

Now all she had to do was keep it that way.

With a quiet confidence, she then turned around and walked away, her nano-tech suit humming softly as she disappeared into the shadows.

**************

A young man with striking blonde hair, stood tall, his eyes scanning the surroundings.

He wore a sleek nano-tech suit, its metallic limbs and torso plates glinting in the light.

In each hand, he wielded a mechanical katana, their razor-sharp blades humming with energy.

As he moved, his suit's advanced sensors picked up every detail of his surroundings.

His gaze locked onto the beast emerging from the underbrush, its twisted body a mass of scaly flesh and razor-sharp claws.

With a swift motion, he charged forward, his suit's propulsion system allowing him to move with incredible speed.

The beast lunged forward, its jaws wide open, but he dodged to the side with ease.

He countered with a swift slash of his katana, aiming for the beast's exposed flank.

The blade bit deep, but the creature's hide was thicker than he had anticipated.

The beast retaliated with a swipe of its massive paw, forcing him to leap backward.

He landed hard on the ground, his suit's advanced cushioning system absorbing the impact.

He scrambled to his feet, his katanas at the ready. The beast charged again, its jaws wide open.

He dodged and weaved, avoiding the creature's attacks with precision.

He countered with swift slashes of his katanas, aiming for the beast's vulnerable spots.

The creature stumbled, its twisted body weakening under Lenny's relentless onslaught.

Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the beast collapsed to the ground, its lifeless body crashing onto the earth.

Lenny stood tall, his chest heaving slightly as he caught his breath.

He glanced down at his artifact's display, scrolling through the rankings. His eyes narrowed as he took in the information.
