Leslie Patterson. She was the younger sister of the current patriarch of the Patterson house. Brigade commander, Evander Patterson.
And she was also the elder sister of Major Jonny Patterson. Lenny's father.
And as is the montage in this academy, she was also an antagonist. Tho for her strength she wasn't a major one.
Which is low key kinda disappointing. I mean, she's a certified Class 5 soldier and in overall combat she had the strength of Class 6.
To put into perspective, there were only about Ten Class 6 soldiers in the entirety of the Terran federation.
Her strength at the lowest would and should've made her at the very least a Brigade commander.
And most likely would've pushed her into consideration for the position of general.
She would have similar authority to the heads of the ruling houses. That's how much authority a general has.
Which is why it's honestly a shame she was killed by a vampire noble somewhere around volume 3.
"Okay..." I heard Leslie say. "Now I know you all were quite excited last night for your first day and most likely didn't get any sleep."
Everyone nodded absentmindedly. "Then let's keep it short today yeah?"
Everyone nodded in agreement. Haa. Typical teenagers. Of course I also nodded in agreement.
"Great. Then today we'll only take attendance and be on our way then. Now then, shall we?"
"Kevin Mavinson"
"Present"
"Come forward and take your student ID."
Kevin stepped forward took his ID and went back to his seat.
"Alicia Stormhaven"
"Present"
"Come forward and take your ID".
Alicia did the same thing and went back to her seat.
She continued calling other cadets to collect her ID.
"Lucas Draken".
"Present"
Lucas stood up and went to take his ID. But something was different this time. When he stepped up to Leslie, she clearly raised a questioning eyebrow at him.
She then narrowed her eyes looking at him as if she could see something we couldn't.
"Um... is there a problem ma'am?" Lucas asked tilting his head in confusion.
But Leslie simply shook her head as if shrugging whatever it was she saw or thought she saw out of her mind.
She then handed him his ID, which he took with a weirded out expression on his face as he headed back to his seat.
She then continued calling out other students. And then it got to me.
"Nathaniel Hunt".
"Present".
I said as I stood up and went forward to collect my ID.
When I got to her, I stretched my hand forward to collect the ID.
As my hand touched it, I noticed she had a strange look, an almost sadistic look on her face as she said.
"So you're Joseph's kid. I can't wait to teach you all sorts of things."
As she said that, I instantly felt creeped out. Fuck.
I forgot. She has a mental disorder. It's the reason she was known as a psychopath in the novel.
She was the type to torture an enemy rather than just kill them and be done with it for no reason whatsoever.
She could literally just kill you for breathing too hard or sucking at fighting too bad.
Haaa. Fuck. And now she's set her sights on me. Haa. Damn. Which god did I offend in my previous life to deserve this.
Haa. I took my ID and walked back to my seat.
As I sat down, Natasha whispered teasingly in my ear, "Hey, at least the hot and slightly insane instructor has the hots for you so that's a good thing right".
"Haha. Keep laughing all you want." I grumbled resting my head.
After a while(which was like two minutes tops) she was done with the attendance and handing our IDs.
She then faced us and said, "After this, as I'm sure you're aware, you will have a weapons selection class where you decide on the weapons you wish to specialise in."
She then walked outside the classroom and gestured as if showing the way for us to go.
One by one everyone moved outside. As i stood up, I decided to take a look at my ID card.

Undetermined huh. I thought looking at my rank. Since the year was just beginning, the ranks were not determined yet.
The reason for that was the cadets that came in through recommendations. It was impossible to know just how strong they were.
And if they were stronger and by how much they were stronger than the cadets that came in through the exam.
Of course there were going to be tests, exams, he'll there was even a tournament that allowed one to rise through the ranks.
So it wouldn't say undetermined for long.
As for my synchronisation rate, well the card hasn't been synced with me yet so maybe that's why the sync rate was still that of the former I inputed.
Anyway, hm?
I looked at my side, seeing Natasha locking arms with me with a wide smile on her face.
"Come on, let's go". She said almost dragging me off with her.
Ahh. It's a shame. It really is a shame. A shame she dies by my hand in volume 4.
