CHAPTER 15

Upon hearing the voice, Raymond turned around, his expression calm but unreadable.

Standing before him was a familiar face—one of Valentina's uncles. He recognized the man from the day he had gone to the Callum mansion to marry Valentina. Unlike the others who had openly shown disdain or fake pity, this man had remained quiet, simply watching and smiling through the entire process.

Raymond's crimson eyes remained steady as he met the older man's gaze.

"Can I help you?" he asked smoothly, his tone devoid of any warmth but not outright hostile.

Valentina's uncle let out a short laugh, shaking his head.

"I didn't know you were this smart," he said, his voice dripping with amusement.

At that moment Raymond raised an eyebrow but remained silent, letting the man continue.

"You came to our house looking like a homeless man," the older man mused, chuckling as he gave Raymond a once-over.
