I Think You Are Pregnant

A Job at Lazarus Corporation

Through Dr. Evelyn connections, Lucy got a not so high-paying job at one of the Lazarus Corporation's companies.

The moment she walked into the office, she felt the stares.

Some men admired her. Some women despised her.

But Lucy ignored them all. She just worked hard.

Meanwhile…

A week later, the city moved on, but some people hadn't forgotten.

Sebastian Blake stood in his penthouse, staring at the article on his tablet. It had been circulating for days—"The Sinclair Heiress Falls: Family Fortune Lost, Scandal Breaks the Internet."

His fingers tightened around the device as he read through the heartless comments. People mocked her. Gossiped about her. Brushed off her pain as entertainment.

But Sebastian knew Lucy.

She wasn't just some socialite who lived off her family's wealth. She had been kind, ambitious, and full of dreams. He had seen it in her eyes years ago.

And now?

She had vanished.

He had tried calling her ever since the scandal broke. Every attempt ended the same—"The number you have dialed is unavailable."

Sebastian sighed, running a hand through his hair. Something about this didn't sit right. Lucy wouldn't just disappear.

At the Lazarus Estate

Nicholas Lazarus leaned against the sleek black marble counter in his home bar, swirling a glass of whiskey in his hand. Across from him, Sebastian sat with his own untouched drink, his mind clearly elsewhere.

Nicholas had known Sebastian long enough to recognize when something was bothering him.

"You've been restless all week," Nicholas noted. "What is it?"

Sebastian exhaled, leaning back against the chair. "I'm looking for someone."

Nicholas raised a brow. "A woman, I assume?"

Sebastian ignored the smirk. "Lucy Sinclair."

Nicholas frowned slightly at the name, but it didn't ring a bell. "Sinclair? As in the family that just collapsed?"

Sebastian nodded. "She was my friend." His expression darkened. "And I have a feeling something happened to her. Something worse than what the media is saying."

Nicholas took a slow sip of his whiskey, uninterested. "She probably ran away. Wouldn't be the first rich girl who couldn't handle reality."

Sebastian's jaw clenched. "She's not like that."

Nicholas didn't respond immediately. His gaze flickered to the television screen in the bar, where images of Lucy's last public appearances were being displayed.

Her face was beautiful—delicate features, soft eyes—

He let out a small scoff. "A lost good one."

Sebastian's eyes narrowed. "Are you serious, That's all you have to say?"

Nicholas shrugged. "You can chase ghosts if you want. But if she doesn't want to be found, she won't be ."

"Are you planning on marrying her" Nicholas asked not caring to look at her face again

"Nop" replied Sebastian

"Then why hustle, just ask he family" he said nonchalantly

Sebastian looked at his best friend carefully. "You don't care about this at all?"

Nicholas met his gaze, unreadable. "Nop, why should I?."

"Dude She's Hot take a look" said Marcus in a chuckle

When Nicholous was turning to look at her they stopped displaying her

"By the way, what about the woman from that night?" Marcus asked casually.

Nicholas frowned, thinking back. "What about her?"

"You gave her 10 million, right? There's no transaction record."

Nicholas stiffened. "What?"

Marcus shrugged. "I checked. No money was withdrawn, no transaction in the system. Either she was too stupid to collect it, or something is off, you mistook her."

Sebastian, who had been listening silently, finally spoke. "Wait. What woman?"

Nicholas shot him a glare. "Forget it it's None of your business."

But Sebastian wasn't letting it go. "You just said it's strange. Tell me."

Nicholas sighed, rubbing his temple. "It was a one-night thing. I don't remember much, it was dark. Just that she had a scent… one I can still smell even now."

Sebastian's eyes sharpened. "A scent?"

Nicholas smirked. "Yeah. It was intoxicating. But whatever, she's gone, and I don't care."

Sebastian leaned back, his mind racing. That's not strange now… because since that night, women have been approaching me nonstop.

They brushed it off, still unaware they were both talking about Lucy.

But deep down, Nicholas couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't right.

And Sebastian? He wasn't giving up until he found Lucy.

Life at the Office

Lucy's beauty and work ethic made her stand out. She worked hard, never slacked off, and remained professional. However, this also attracted unwanted attention.

Men admired her, while women envied her. She noticed the jealous glances, the whispered rumors, and the way people either tried to befriend her or sabotage her.

One day Lucy was tired she just came hearing bad words about her from the washroom after lunch break Her supervisor, Amanda, hated her from day one but was assigned to her.

"Why do you always dress so… properly?" Amanda sneered.

Lucy clenched her fists. "I just wear office wear on my work."

"Trying to act like you're better than us?" Amanda scoffed. "Let's see how long that lasts."

Lucy Hold her pen so hard "Trust me if I wear like you your man won't remain yours now with the respect I have been showing you I need you to do the same"

Amanda was shocked not expecting that and the manager who was on the side smilled

One evening, she called her family, amd told them about the woman keeping her,

"That's great, Lucy!" Cassie cheered.

"Are you sure it's safe?" James asked, concerned.

"Yes. Things are finally settling down a bit."

But as they talked, Lucy suddenly felt nauseous. She ran to the bathroom and threw up.

The woman, who had become like a mother figure to her, frowned. "What did you eat today?"

"Just some fruit and fries."

A knowing look crossed the woman's face. "If this continues, my guess might be right."

Lucy looked at her confused and kept on talking to the phone and Evelyn just smilled

The Truth Revealed

As days passed, Lucy felt increasingly fatigued. She brushed it off as stress, but the woman noticed.

One evening, the Dr.Evelyn sat beside Lucy

"You have been acting weird lately"

"What are you trying to tell me" asked Lucy who just came throwing up again.

"I think you're pregnant." said Evelyn

Lucy's heart dropped. "That's not possible…"

I saw this coming thought Dr, Evelyn

Listen Lucy I have a Doctor dealing on women for a long time I know all this and I suggest you go take a test I have the device"

"Go take a test."

With shaking hands, Lucy went to the bathroom. Minutes felt like hours as she stared at the result.
