I had made it! The skies were clear, and I was alive. I almost wanted to curse out a wild group of Spearows we encountered. When one of them wasn't paying attention and got hurt by the plane. The whole group along with a few Fearow started attacking our plane. At first people just thought of it as normal turbulence as the planes had some sort of protection. However, when gasps from the other passengers started sounding out while looking out of the windows, I started growing a little concerned.
Looking out my window I saw the horde and also a couple of our flight assistants battling outside on various flying Pokémon. Its seems that even flight attendants needed a certain level of strength in this world. Seeing them also resist the cold from the winds and altitudes we were at. It brought me back to remembering how superhuman some of the people are in this world. Thankfully my system made me stronger than the average person of this world.
With a couple last ditch efforts to display their anger at our plane. The Fearows retreated. Watching the trainers enter the plane from some sort of back hitch I thought of this plane as some sort of cross between military planes and passenger planes from my previous life. Honestly it was an interesting thought process. Even small things like this could be different. It made me intrigued with the world around me. It felt like my curiosity as a child had been reignited, or I suppose I was a child. Whatever.
Now that I was on the ground. I felt a lot safer. There was no danger of being randomly shot out of the sky. Waiting on my suitcase from one of the conveyer belts. I felt the tediousness of flight travel. One of these day's I'd get multiple flying Pokémon so I wouldn't need to deal with this struggle again. "Seriously a plane was one of the least dangerous things in this world. Why are there all these precautions."
"That's easy enough little missy." One of the staff looked over at me with my outburst obviously amused. "We help keep the peace between countries by making safe air travel routes between regions. Not all wild Pokémon are OK with us just going through their region. Were sent out to gather permission from various groups of wild Pokémon and we supply appropriate trades for the convenience of all people."
That made some sort of twisted sense I guessed. It seemed this world was darker than I expected, but it also didn't seem to be anywhere near the level of the manga. Might I just saw for that one fact, thank you Chance AND Fate for that.
Still, it made sense whether I liked it or not, that magical creatures brought magical dangers. I wanted to kind of forget that with all the craziness that was currently my life. "I see..." The reply obviously didn't get the expected enamorment he hoped for with the kid making him sigh in disappointment.
"Anyways, just make sure to get your stuff when it comes through. Wouldn't want to make anyone from your family wait more than they need to, right?" The voice coming through more cutthroat in nature.
The comment obviously came from his lack of approval in his own life choices. The fact he wanted a kid's approval just made it all the worse. Guess this was one job I would probably not consider doing. Even if I was looking for a normal life in this world. Which I wasn't, but still some things needed to be voiced about these kinds of things.
Grabbing my bags one at a time on a carrier cart I made my way to my mother. Super strength for the win!!! It seems even my mother was impressed with my actions. At first, I was convinced I was coming to this camp alone. But it seems my mother was going to drop me off and vacation herself for a couple weeks before taking us back. That honestly made way more sense than some random 6-year-old being left to fend for herself.
Guess I wouldn't be dealing with a lack of attention as much as I originally thought I would have.
Taking our time, we eventually made it to the campgrounds, and might I just say it was glorious. The streams intertwining in fanciful patterns with gaps spread out with little water around. I knew that while this couldn't possibly be completely natural, just to make every type of Pokémon more comfortable they truly dedicated tons of resources into structuring the land itself to accomplish their goals.
Seeing flower fields, deserts, streams, rivers, and to top it off having it all connected to an ocean made my gaze shift in wonder. Looking to a tower that was in the facility I noticed some sort of roost that existed likely for various bird Pokémon like Pidove. I loved birds in my previous life. I'd most definitely get a couple bird Pokémon if it's the last thing I do.
We were currently still on one of the roads of the campground as the place was large enough to need them. Gazing out a window and sticking my head outside, I felt my Hat start to slip and I started to panic. "Ahhhh" letting out a little shout in embarrassment I watched my hat fly off landing on the head of a random wild Caterpie. Mom's so going to kill me!!! Looking over I watched as she stopped the car calmly on side of the road. Summoning Fletchling she pointed at the hat and gave it an Oran Berry from the back of the car. Understanding the gesture Fletchling flew over and started explaining the situation to the Caterpie. Initially bewildered and scared half to death the little worm started calming down and let the hat be pulled off its head by the Fletchling. Giving the Oran Berry and what seemed to be a quick apology and thanks Fletchling flew over with my Hat and set it on my head.
Feeling embarrassed I couldn't voice a thing right now and seeing my mother's small glare without any real heat behind it I started doing the one thing I could. "So... Sorrrry Mom, thank you Fletchling!"
"It's fine Honey, but try to be a bit more careful from now on, OK?"
The matter having been settled we re-entered the car this time noticing I wasn't able to roll my window all the way down. It was only about halfway. I had it coming. Acting like a child, while being a child sometimes brought consequences. To be fair, I wasn't completely sure why I had done something so stupid. Still the treatment was fair.
