"A new monster?"
"The loot is also richer compared to before? It even has an Epic-grade loot," Kael almost salivated just looking at the monster's droppable materials.
With his talent, it was already a guarantee that he would receive all of the items listed before him.
Although he was not aware of how good an Epic item is, it was apparent that it was way better than a rare one.
"But this one is level 5 and is holding a sword. I need to be careful," Kael suppressed his exhilaration as he gripped the Ordinary Sword tightly.
He was still level 1 at this moment.
The Fierce Goblin Sword Wielder also noticed him.
Shrieeek!
The Fierce Goblin Sword Wielder ran toward Kael with its sword.
"It's fast!"
Kael widened his eyes in shock. He hurriedly put up a simple stance, with the Ordinary Sword in front of him, ready to attack at any given moment.
Jumping from left to right, the Fierce Goblin Sword Wielder slowly inched its way forward.
This monster was clearly unlike what he had faced before.
It was quick and nimble and was probably quite strong.
Kael did not dare underestimate it.
He could tell that the monster was stronger and quicker than him. However, he did not panic and instead put his entire focus on the enemy's movements.
Kael has been to a fair share of fights while scavenging. He was no stranger to fighting stronger opponents than him, especially the adults that tried to underestimate him for being young and inexperienced. Still, Kael was able to beat all of them even if he did not leave unscathed.
The more fights he had been through, the more experienced he had become at fighting as a scavenger as well.
Precise and direct to the point, that has always been Kael's style.
The monster arrived in front of him and swung its sword toward his knee. Its sword, though, was a little short, probably to match its stature.
Like how he would block with his metal pipe, he positioned his Ordinary Sword to block the goblin's sword.
Clang!
The sound of clashing metals entered his ears.
'Strong!'
His right arm that was holding the sword trembled. It felt like he was hit by a hammer from the goblin's strike.
As sparks flew, Kael gritted his teeth and put more pressure on the sword, preventing it from moving backward.
Below, his free left hand clenched into a fist and immediately swung toward the Fierce Goblin Sword Wielder's cheek.
Bam!
The goblin was sent flying to his right.
Kael had put a lot of force in that punch after all.
Shaking the sword-wielding hand to get rid of the numbness, Kael stepped toward the goblin and swung the sword toward it before it could recover.
Clang!
The goblin recovered and blocked his Ordinary Sword at the last moment.
Bam!
A kick was sent to its head, sending it flying once more.
Kael stepped forward and pierced its chest with his sword.
Blood splattered like a fountain, but the goblin was still moving.
Kael raised his brow. He pulled the sword and inserted it into the goblin's flesh once again.
"Just die already, you tenacious loot!"
Swoosh! Pierce! Swoosh! Pierce!
After a few seconds, the goblin turned into a kaleidoscope of lights and transformed into multiple items that were directly stored inside his inventory.
A huge smile plastered over his face as he raised the sword in the air.
"Haha! Finally!"
Seeing the array of items, Kael's eyes lit up in delight.
"I leveled up?"
He was so preoccupied with obtaining a lot of loot earlier that he did not pay attention to his experience points.
"Stats."
Race: Human Class/Job: None Talent: Collector(SSS) Level: 2 (17/110) HP(Health Points): 120/120 MP (Mana Points): 60/60 Str: 11 (1) Int: 11 Agi: 11 Vit: 11 Dex: 11 Cha: 9 Lck: 1 Equipped Items: Ordinary Sword(Str +1) Status Point: 5 Inventory: 15/2000> "All of my stats increased by 1 except for Cha and Lck?" Vivian did not mention this in detail before and only said that his stats would automatically increase once he levels up. "I do not feel much stronger, though. Is it because it has only increased by 1 point?" Kael wondered as he flexed his arms around. Glancing down, Kael saw that the previous '0' in the status point now has '5' on it. "Vivian said not to touch it for the time being, so let's just leave it at that." Grinning from ear to ear, Kael accessed his inventory and looked at the descriptions of the new items he obtained. Aside from the change in rarity or grade, there were no other changes in the items he had already obtained before, so Kael just skimmed over them and proceeded to the new ones. Grade: Uncommon Remark: Obtained from a Fierce Goblin with a sword. This can be made into a whole sword? How many do I need?> Kael tilted his head, intrigued by the remark of this item. "If I collect enough Fierce Goblin Sword Shards and can indeed make them into a whole sword, will I be able to sell it in the Global Shop?" His eyes lit up as he thought of that. How much money will he make if it gets sold? Glancing down, Kael focused on the last item, Fierce Goblin Token. Aside from the Fierce Goblin Blood Essence, this was the only one with an Epic grade. It should be something good. Grade: Epic Remarks: Obtained from a Fierce Goblin with a sword. Can be used to open the Fierce Goblin Dungeon Instance. Reaching Player Level 10 is recommended before entering.> ______ A/N: Lets reach 50 power stones by the end of this week, and I will update at least two chaps.
