Chapter 4

Ethan seemed to have resigned himself to his fate, behaving obediently in the basement without any more fuss.

I had the kitchen prepare various dishes to nourish his body, which caught Harmony's attention.

She appeared displeased and whined to me, "Ethan, you haven't come to see me lately. Are you at home taking care of your darling?"

I felt disgusted by her and naturally didn't want to see her.

She seemed to enjoy clinging to Ethan, using her seductive tactics to entice him.

No wonder Ethan fell for her so easily.

However, Harmony still had some use now, after all, she could make the current "Vivienne" quite miserable!

"Harmony, you know about the recent company affairs. I've been incredibly busy!"

"Vivienne is just a tool for bearing children. Have you forgotten our plan?"

Harmony pouted, "I just miss you!"

She ran her finger in circles on my body, her eyes filled with allure, which made me...

Utterly nauseated.

I grabbed her hand and affectionately kissed her, "If you miss me, why don't you move in with me?"

The night I brought Harmony home, the maid informed me that Ethan had been nauseous and threw up everything he ate that day. I clenched my fists tightly.

In my previous life, during early pregnancy, I suffered from severe nausea. I would vomit everything I ate, especially when I smelled the musty and foul odors from the basement, which completely killed my appetite.

I let out a cold laugh and had the servants prepare fresh food to bring to the basement.

"Ethan, it stinks in here!"

Harmony pinched her nose delicately and pressed herself closer to me.

Seeing me arrive, Ethan looked at me like I was his lifeline, rushing towards me immediately.

"Ah! Ethan, be careful!"

Harmony's face turned pale with fright at the sight of Ethan, who reeked of foul odors. She hurriedly pulled me back a few steps.

Due to the chains on his feet, Ethan couldn't get close to us.

He looked at me with anguish and begged, "Ethan, I know I was wrong. Will you please let me out? I really can't stand being here anymore!"

"I promise I'll behave and take good care of the baby if you let me out! Please..."

In my previous life, the high and mighty Ethan would never have stooped to begging anyone. Now, the tables have turned, and it's time for him to bow his head.

"I told you to take good care of the baby, but look at the state you're in now. How can you possibly provide nutrition for my son?"

I looked at him with disgust. Ethan couldn't handle this kind of hardship. Eating, drinking, and relieving himself all in the basement naturally led to his health deteriorating.

"Mrs. Shaw, force it down her throat! If she throws up again, make her eat what she vomited!"

I spoke coldly, "Vivienne, don't you want to get out of here?"

After all, this was my own body. If we switched back one day, I'd be at a loss.

Ethan tried to speak but Mrs. Shaw grabbed his mouth shut.

Ethan wanted to push Mrs. Shaw away, the liquid burning hot, but he was too weak to resist and was forced to swallow it.

Perhaps truly fed up with being in this basement, Ethan covered his mouth, not daring to vomit, looking at me with pleading eyes.
