Unbeknownst to her, another white light shone at her, when she opened them again. What surrounded her was a white space with no start or end. Nothing above or below. Only a blue transparent window hung in midair. It said:
|| To all the readers who are grieving over Caelestis Lancaster's death. I deeply apologize but this character always deserved death in my eyes of justice. Although he was a good leader, a good friend, probably a good son, yet he was never a good boyfriend or husband to the female lead.
Even after going through all his sins, if you still sympathize with him. I have an offer for you.
Would you like to change the destiny of Caelestis Lancaster?

Caelestis Lancaster. The name itself was enough to understand what the strange notification on that translucent window said.
Caelestis was the cruel main villain of a web novel that Eleanore had adored. Its name was 'Revenge is her only desire'. A cliche story of a grand duke falling for a commoner, with a twist of getting hated by her instead of the love he had always desired.
Being a complete psychopath, he kidnapped the female lead and forced her to become his wife. It was all going too well for the villain until the male lead entered the picture and took away the woman he loved from him. In the end facing a dramatic end by the hands of the male lead.
Eleanore could vaguely remember sending a hateful email to the author, demanding justice for her favorite character who was killed for love, one she sympathised with. She demanded a better end for his character.
"What nonsense is this?" Eleanore thought. She turned around to look at the window's transparent back but it moved with her. No matter where she went, it remained in front of her eyes, as if asking her to read it and answer it.
"What kind of joke is this? Am I not dead?" She yelled. Her voice echoed in the void space, but received no answer in return, from the other end which she had assumed existed..
"What should I do?" She folded her legs in an attempt to sit down, however she never touched the floor, she was instead floating in the air. Her stomach fluttered a little as she flew in the air.
"Celestis Lancaster? — Change the destiny of Celestis Lancaster? What the hell? He is a fictional character. How can I save him? Goodness!" She caught her forehead in her palm and left out a loud sigh. "Should I just accept it?"
After thinking hard for a few minutes, she decided she wanted to rest instead but what's the point? Instead of going some to another strange place, probably her eyes closing forever and never even having the privilege of seeing this void, made her shiver in fear.
Her life has always been so boring. Having nothing to do but study and only study. The idea of entering into a world where she might not have to study at all, somehow cheered her up.
It would be better than darkness. She thought.

The prompt seemed to pulse with an odd, ethereal light, as if urging her to make a decision. Without giving it further thought, she clicked "Yes."
Instantly, the white void around her erupted into a kaleidoscope of colors, swirling in vibrant hues that made her head spin. She felt herself being pulled forward, faster and faster, the colors blurring together until she could barely distinguish them. A strange warmth enveloped her, and then, just as quickly as she moved, she went still.
Eleanore opened her eyes under a unique ceiling. She stared at it for a while as her eyes grasped the picture above her. It contained beautiful marble architecture that formed into a red rose. A thin, yet long laced curtain hung through a loop, flowing all the way down to the ground, covering her bed completely.
The clicking sound of the door knob made Eleanore jerk out of the soft blanket and sit straight, alerting herself to find out who had entered her room.
When the laced curtains moved, it revealed a huge, very spacious room, larger than her small rented apartment and the bed was almost queen sized instead of a single one, she normally slept in. While she loved everything in the room that gave fantasy vibes, she hated the peach pink floral walls.
Just as her disgust for pink color started seeping into her veins, the maid who had entered the room, called out to her mistress.
"Lady Eleanor." She said, making her shift her attention to the maid, who was wearing a black and white maid outfit, which made her pale skin shine brightly under the morning rays of the sun.
"Lady Eleanore, you have awoken early today." She said placing the bulky pink bed sheets, she was holding at the end of the bed. and then slid a small stair at the side of the tall bed. Her eyes remained at the ground the whole time.
Eleanore was unaware and puzzled on what her next move should be. Is this cute small staircase for me to get down? She asked herself.
Something hit in her mind and instead of using those stairs, Eleanore jumped down from the bed in her bare feet, making the maid flinch in horror. She quickly grabbed a pair of sleepers from the same corner and then started helping her wear it. As soon as the maid touched Eleanore's bare feet, she shook her off, feeling uncomfortable about the whole thing.
"I can do it by myself," Eleanore said.
The maids' eyes, on hearing that filled up with tears, she slapped her forehead hard on the floor and cried.
"Oh My God!" Eleanore let out, being caught completely off guard by the act of the petite maid.
"My Lady, have I done something wrong?" She sniveled. "I deserve death, my lady. Please kill me with your own hands."
